I rented a Lime scooter here in Sac and any small pothole or sidewalk crack is a danger with these small hard wheels. Bikes give a much better ride, stopping power, smooth ride over any bumps and balance.

Those look like fun, but I'd probably use it for a week and never use it again. Much like a drone. It would be fun to play with but I have no practical use for one.

I was an early crowdfunding backer of the Max. Great scooter once you put your own custom firmware on it to increase the top speed and torque.

Is there any general guidance on which is safer, an electric bicycle or an electric scooter? I've been toying with getting one, but not sure if I should go the bike route (which would also allow me to pedal), or if the scooter might be safer since it's a lower center of gravity.

I did the exact same thing with both of those things. Someday I will use that drone again

I hit 19mph regularly around the neighborhood sometimes hitting 20mph going downhill. I thought about flashing custom firmware but I saw it was only a 1-2mph boost. What speeds are you getting?

19-20mph, but the acceleration is way better especially up hills. You can remove the delay too for the motor to kick in or reduce the speed and which turns on. Much safer for taking off quickly at junctions instead of having to kick the scooter up first.

Anyone has experience with bringing these scooters on planes? Can we remove the battery and put in a carry on bag? Im moving to another state for school and would need minimal transportation. Thanks!

Go to UPS and ship it to yourself.
