Couldn't agree more. I had a pi with a "thousand" games. It was just annoying having 2 or 3 different versions of games or having to scroll through them when you really had about 50 that you like to play. This thing is pretty awesome for $99 and what you can do to expand it and place it about anywhere you want with a monitor or TV.

Quote from EtherGnat :
But it didn't come with any of them, which was the point. You had to add them, just as you can with this device. My PC MAME setup I bought this to use this with has thousands of games as well. You can very easily use the puck console with this with thousands of games. And you could use this with your Raspberry Pi setup out of the box. Again, you're just massively deficient in not realizing the value this has as a controller for people that want such a controller.

No, but you should at least attempt not to be a total tool, and thread crap on a product you obviously don't understand the appeal of.

I wish the xbox series x would recognize this as a controller lol. Would use it as a fighting stick and for retroarch retail versoon.
Seems like it should be possible with a USB adapter, but to the best of my knowledge nothing compatible currently exists. There are a couple threads discussing it on Reddit.

You could use the streaming:

Thanks not too crazy about streaming it. Maybe the brooks adapter might work.

Here is where I got that information. About the 20 sec mark. Video was uploaded today actually and I do not know the person who made the video. I don't know for sure, but I'm assuming they know what they are talking about, but that doesn't mean they do. Smilie

This is for the cabinet, which I'm also assuming runs the same OS as the this Joystick/Streaming set up listed here. - Video Link [youtube.com].
Interesting. I guess on old firmware there was a way to directly load custom launchers. That's pretty cool, but I still don't think it means much. I've never heard of this software he mentions, and while I didn't watch the whole video, what I saw didn't seem better than CoinOpX, which is what has been discussed here and is what most people are going to look at loading. The community involved with that and the saUCE packages are both very active and continuing to update their stuff with, at least for now, full support from the manufacturer. So as long as that continues to stay the same, people should be pretty happy with the results. But yeah, outside of that one-off scenario in that video, upgrading to new firmware has not been problematic or caused any issues with playing custom roms.

I think like everyone else im just getting this for the controller. Seems like a lot of funtionality and good build quality for a good price. God knows i got enough devices that can run emulators from every retro console, pc, laptop, tablet, cell phone, videogame systems. Running CFW on this wouldve been perfect as i wouldnt have to get any of the other devices involved. I guess maybe the pandora arcade stick might be what im lookin for lol.

Any reason to get this when I already have a modded PS Classic? Sounds like having to connect to their system to play your own added roms is a deal breaker.

For me and i think alot of people would be the controller itself and it being wireless is a major plus. I also just found this on walmart

Its $129

Is this the pandora stick? Also looks to be wired. The ryu artwork on it looks nice though

If connecting to "their system" is a deal breaker, then this deal is definitely not for you! Please move on to other better deals.

Thanks for sharing. I'm still learning about these and how they function. If you can load games from third party services while being current with the firmware, then it would definitely make this item worth consideration.

Ugh. I just bought the Legends Ultimate off of a similar slickdeals post just a week ago. $500 for that vs $100 for this.

Someone please tell me that I should keep the Ultimate at $500. Please tell me that there reasons other than my spinner and built-in display that make the Ultimate worth several hundred dollars more than this thing!

I haven't taken the Ultimate out of the box yet to start putting it together. So if I should just return it and go with this $100 unit, please tell me now.

That's the deal breaker for me too. I'd pay twice as much if it had an offline CoinOpX that was mine for life.

Your losing the spinner and the cabinet, that's it. I wish it had the spinner but for $400 more I can do without.
