Reviews are pretty poor, drive breaks pretty quickly
They are nice, but when that metal gets hot, the plastic will eventually break, if you have to move it alot. If its stationary, you should be fine. Good for people that have the AtGames Legends Ultimate. I prefer the metal housing version, Samsung makes a nice ultra small version (has 5 year accidental warranty) around the same price when on sale. I do like their Bar series
Looks like the metal version is on sale too, but its 5 bucks more. (5 year limited warranty)

That having been said, these are usually a bit cheaper on sale, think I paid $21 or $22 for one last prime day

I can vouch for these - I've bought 3 in the last couple years, all still work great, never had any issue. First time i ever had a problem with any SanDisk products was when my 400gb micro SD burnt out on me after 4 years. Called them, they sent a postage paid packing slip, and a week later I had a brand new card. I'll only buy storage from SanDisk or microcenter now

These are a decent drive and will long outlast a legends ultimate and its 30 day warranty, if that is your use case. Any chance to dunk on atgames and their terrible support I am going to take, but this is a decent price for the stick.
I can't speak for durability with frequent unplugging, but I have a couple lower capacity versions of these that work perfectly for recording in a camera base station.
Sandisk thumb drives always overheat and slow way down to ~10 MB/s after about 30 to 60 seconds into a copy, shitty and slow for large files. I usually use Samsung for personal use and cheap Sandisk for giving away. The Samsung price occasionally gets down to the low $30's for this size, currently $42: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7Q41PM/

This is true. Speeds are terrible after a short time. It's also why they use a plastic case. The old ones with metal got too hot to hold, so they used plastic to mask the problem.
Do yourself a favor and pick up a Samsung flash drive. If you don't need 256 right now, the linked item is a good drive.

Yeah for uses that require a stationary drive it should be fine. Its the wear from unplugging and plugging them iin that breaks the plastic. Their support is bad from what I hear, I got the warranty on the legends gamer deal. Is their support here in the States, or international?
I appreciate the size and have bought 2 of them in the past. I had one sticking out the side of my laptop and it got warm. I since have relegated it to less stressful use. With the price of SSD drives at what they are, I am looking at that direction for speed and durability. I have a few Spinning HDs in 2.5 inch external cases that are ripe for a refit. Nice price, but I am going to pass on this.
