Yes it is.

This is a good deal.

I would recommend calling around locally if you need a large quantity.

My wife called a farm up the road from us and they charge $20yd for garden soil (not screened) And $30/yd for screened soil (larger items like mulch are sifted out).

I had good luck last year planting grass seed using screened soil.

The miracle grow comes out to $72 / yd vs $30 if I buy locally. I'm so close they waive the delivery, but if you have a pickup it may work for some. (Farm also doesn't charge me tax 🤫)

Again, this is a good deal, but I would call around if you need more that 10 bags or so. I'm sure location matters, Im in NJ and happen to be close to a lot of farm.

I will add the convenience of transporting bags vs having to shovel into a cart and dump should not be ignored. Very easy to toss a bag into the garden bed, cut open and dump.
Got any deals on a time machine?
Sigh. When did I get so old? Scrolling through 5 pages worth of comments to try and figure out if SOIL is a good deal and what I need to rehab my lawn. Is this the type of adulting I've been reduced to? 🤷

I bought 15 bags of the HD generic house brand stuff yesterday and it was better than this stuff. Far less trash and wood chunks. I am sure it varies wildly depending on where it is sourced.

I just wasn't expecting chunks of asphalt in the "brand name" stuff. Not exactly what I want to be running over with my lawn mower.

Oh well, lesson learned.

Organic mix at Costco and Sams club is available throughout the Spring if you want organic dirt for your vegetables.
Upcoming sale at Costco.

BTW, I did use this for my large pots last year. I mixed in the dirt from the petunias, too.
The flowers did okay, but I agree that it is best to use potting soil or a mix of that and this (depending on how big your pots are and the drainage conditions).

Where did you see that Costco has an upcoming sale? I didn't see anything in their monthly flyer. Thanks!

Can I use this on my lawn? Thanks

Yes. But if you leave bags lying in one spot for days, it tends to kill whatever grass that was already growing there.

Buy a plant much faster. Best if you can see the real fruit from the tree.
