Base on the lumber price I guess I can save like $15 for material....
Also do you recommend buying one pair or two ? I'm worrying about warping. Mainly put 8feet lumber on it through.
One pair is plenty for 8' foot boards you can space them at anywhere between 4 to 6 foot. Even spaced at 4' you will not have bowing issues. 2' hanging over the edge is not going to cause bowing and the 4' between is not going to allow sag of material 1X and up

Oh boy this is gold advice. I ordered one already, was thinking if need to buy another pair.
That's 36 8 foot 2x6s for example.
I can squeeze 10 pieces of 1X material on one shelf. On some shelves that has me having ten 1X8s along with ten 1X6s on one individual shelf. The lumber hangs over a little but stores fine that way. If my math is right that is well over 200 per shelf and with me having the whole packed to the gills I am hanging somewhere between 1000 to 1200 pounds on the rack with no signs of any stability failures or problems.
I can tell you that I would not do that with some of the stamped steel brackets that people are recommending. I have had them fail in many occasions with not much weight on them

A 1/4"x4" Powerlag screw is about $0.40 each will work fine.

Ha! Definitely not May 2021. Prices will only rise thru this building season. Might show some decline in the Fall but likely no real reprieve until 2023.
The price of lumber is up 193%—and about to spike even higher. By Lance Lambert, April 13, 2021 5:15 AM EDT

If you want more details on build and such, I can provide that.
I do use those wall mounts to display boards, but I'm looking for something more for storage and keeping the boards out of the way in the off-season. I work at Burton in VT, so I can get those mounts at a pretty good discount.
There is a small screw that the shelf rests on, but it's mostly the slight upward angle that when weighted holds the bar in place. So by just drilling a new hole for the set screw, you can make any shelf spacing you desire.
