Right now it is, but most people who buy Apple laptops expect at least 8-10 years out of them (which is doable), but down the line 8GB will be a limitation.

I'm looking for a good laptop for sales with great screenbattery life, and works easy with chrome. It's either this or an xps. Which would you choose. (I have an Android phone)

For Android phone you might be better off with Windows, Mac/Apple are not as Android friendly.
