Geez, my 512GB m.2 SSD was $200-240 just a couple years ago. Really good deal!

The speed difference between an NVMe to a regular SSD drive is significant. Great deal!

Nothing will work with the PS5 yet. They haven't enabled the expanded internal storage yet.

They've only enabled expanded external storage. They're going to be enabling the expanded internal storage later this summer, and I'd imagine you will need a PCIe 4.0 to ensure compatibility with the PS5.

Nice find. Noticed this price is w/o heatsink, so two questions: If my goal is to put this into a sata caddy in older laptops that only have 2.5" adapter, (a) what's the risk of frying this drive w/o heatsink (b) any recommendations on a decent 2.5" sata adapter? TIA
*Updated* I recognize that my use case increases total cost but I can't beat the performance increase of 5-6x better than the best sata ssd. However I just read the fine print on WD's spec sheet...specifically says "the M.2 2280 with heatsink is not recommended in laptops". So I guess that's a flat-out "NO" to my use case...?

Going to pick this up and replace my m.2 256 Gig drive. Anyone know what to use to mirror copy my current drive over to this new drive? Any free drive imaging software out there recommended?

But boot speeds are identical. I bet if you set up a double blind study with a regular ssd and one of these it would be nearly impossible to tell the difference between the two

Newegg shipping kinda slow...hopefully Amazon catches on. I tried PM to Best Buy and Micro Center, no dice.

Oddly enough Office Depot has for 64.99, $3 more but I don't have to wait 10 days. Their 1tb is actually cheaper at 134.99

Macrium Reflect or use Windows 10 built in tools, or clonezilla. Pick your poison lol

This seems to be a good deal. I picked up a Samsung 970 Evo 500GB from B&H for $59.99 in December and I can't find it anywhere for that price now.
