I, personally, would not use this for center use, considering the center speaker carries most of the work in a surround system, having to accurately produce vocals in addition to alot of the other sounds in a movie. You will also want a set of front speakers that will kinda match the sound/response of the center. Unless you are on a budget and only looking for decent sound, or limited in space for more robust setup, these will be , meh, ok. There were recent sales here on Klipsch center 5.25" speakers. Also Infinity 5.25" center was on sale recently as well. They'll come around again, and you can get matching fronts too.
I would go no smaller than 5.25" speakers for a better, fuller sound out of a center and front main speaker setup. Again, unless you are limited in space or budget, your expectations should be accepting to the limitations of a certain speaker size for a certain room space or sound reproduction.

I'm surprised nobody here has chimed in on it. One of the first reviews on the Costco page seems to say they are an upgrade.
"The Member Only Price is unbeatable as well as the sonic and build quality of these small bookshelf speakers. Not suprised at the sound quality of these smalls, as I am and have been a dedicated "Keeper Of The Sound" aficionado for many years. Extremely satisfied for use in my small room with Yamaha 5.1 Reciever and Klipsch Quintet set. I replaced the 2 front satellites with these 41s and what an improvement! I suppose if there are any left in stock, I will replace the 2 rear rear Quintet satellites with these also. If you are looking for a small set of bookshelf speakers with the best sound quality at an unbelievable price....look no further."
I've used this wireless system in my home theater and is has been fantastic. I tried the first gen SVS wireless kit and sent it back in favor of these. Price and performance have been excellent. I do have a separate 2 channel receiver in the back of the space that powers my surrounds/rears but there are very affordable small amps that are available to do the exact same thing and probably more appropriately. I just used what I had on hand and it worked flawlessly.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I have an Onkyo tr 686 connected to my Klipsch rf front tower speakers and a center speaker also a wireless Klipsch sub woofer. I was looking to add back surround speakers but my wife would kill me if I added any more wires. So wanted to see if I could make these work somehow

I had the same problem. In my space, it was not feasible to run wires to the back of the room unless I wanted to snake them through the walls. I tried a couple of wireless options to get my surrounds to work properly. Bluetooth transmitter and receiver produced a noticeable audio lag. I tried the SVS wireless speaker/subwoofer kit and it wouldn't produce a clean signal even 6ft apart from one another because of their proximity to my internet router. I rolled the dice and tried the Dynasty ProAudio wireless speaker kit and it did the trick. It let's you select from two different WiFi channels to get the clearest signal. At $90, it was the clear winner.
SVS has now come up with a new wireless speaker kit recently that is supposed to auto-rotate across a tri-band wifi signal to give the best audio signal possible. However, they are also charging a lot more and I have yet to see it proven to work the way they claim it does because it is so new.
If you can get yourself a small amp to power these Klipsch speakers and the Dynasty ProAudio wireless kit to transmit the signal, you can have surrounds wire-free from the front of the room to the back. You obviously still need to run wires from the amp to the speakers themselves but that is a much better problem to have.
I didn't look up the specs of your receiver but just go in understanding that for the Dynasty ProAudio wireless speaker kit to work, you must have pre-outs available to connect to the ProAudio transmitter.
Hopefully this makes sense and helps to solve your problem!
