I just found out that my ADT Smartthings system is no longer works starting today. I was upset at first but then I found that Samsung is offering a refund. I submitted it and it shows ridiculous amount for estimated refund over $800!
When you submit request for refund at the link provided they send you a link to submit refund itself. You will need the serial # of the ADT kit and you can also add some sensors like smoke CO leak and motion. I had a bunch like 6 smoke, 6 CO, 5 leak and couple motion sensors.
I know it's not a deal, but if I even get the half of what they say it would be very slick.
I hope this post helps people who bought the kits and sensors when they went on sale in 2019. As I understand the cut off for refund is 3 years from the purchase date.

They will give you whatever you have receipts for still but it will be like pulling teeth.

The program comes off as being super customer friendly but in reality you have to work for it. They have been sitting on my $300 refund for over a month after receiving my hub and all the sensors.....

Still pretty slick if they ever pay up!

It did take a while but I submitted and was refunded $350 for things that added up to about $280 on my receipts. You do have to stay after them though, they drag their feet quite a bit.

It appears this deal is for three things only: Full ADT starter kit system, V1 SmartThings Hub and Smartthings USB link dongle. You must have one of these items and their serial number to submit the form! I bought several window/door sensors which worked without the ADT system that can not be returned with this form.

You need receipts, too, don't you?

Been dealing with this for over a month. Weekly pings, they have opened five (?) Tickets now. I'm not hopeful for any sort of refund, but will keep trying. Will just plow any money I get into AMC stock anyway 🤣

Mine says $567 let's see how long this takes. More irritated they are not allowing it to be used anymore. I guess I'll be switching to either arlo or ring system

I was originally quoted $186 for a starter kit, smoke detector and a couple of extra sensors. Then they wouldn't give me anything for the sensors since I could not find that receipt. Then they said I had bought them all over two years ago, so they discounted the rest of the amount and only gave me 67% of the receipt values. I just got a check last week for $86. Still, it was not nothing. I used it to buy the Wyze monitoring system.

go with ring. they run a good deal on the starter 14 piece set every couple of months. you can buy additional pieces on ebay cheap. motion sensors $20-25, contacts $14, etc.

Smartthings is trying to avoid a class-action lawsuit by getting ahead of this. No receipt no money. I bought a bunch of sensors at Best Buy they won't cover. A ton of time and a bunch of money wasted on a system that's maybe 2 years old. None of it's worth my time, except maybe badmouthing the brands.

Just an update. They did the same discounting sensors based on the following:
The devices purchased after March 01, 2020, would be eligible for a 100% refund
The devices purchased between March 01, 2019, to Feb 29, 2020, would be eligible for a 67% refund
The devices purchased between March 01, 2018, to Feb 29, 2019, would be eligible for a 33% refund of the actual amount which you have paid excluding taxes at the time of purchase.
At the end after I've sent them all receipts they still offered almost $800. The problem is that I've sent all the equipment over a month ago and nothing is happening. Will update later.

I got like over $600 for my ADT smartthings items that I paid around $300 for. Had all my receipts and Samsung paid me more than I paid for the items.
