I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I'm going to be staying at a Hilton for about 35 days starting next month. Trying to figure out the best card to sign up for to either get the most cash back on the stay or free nights. It seems if I sign up for this card I could redeem $1000 back on my $4000 stay? Would a Hilton card give a better return than that?
A Hilton card might be advantageous for other reasons (e.g., having immediate Diamond status to enjoy for your entire 35 day stay) but if your primary goal is using the sign-up bonus to offset the cost of this stay (as opposed to a future stay), then I think you might be better off with the CSP.

My new Sapphire card wasn't linked to my online profile for some reason with my two other Chase products. Sent a secure message and rep said 3-5 days. Nothing, so I messaged again and the next rep immediately added it. It shows a progress bar for how much I've spent so far and says I'm on track to get my 100K points. Couldn't have been easier.
Mine says 80K points in the progress bar. does your show 100k? i opened in branch and the rep did show 80+20k offer

You should call them and harass them as to WHY it does not say 100K.

So my wife got her card today, the chase rep mentioned that I can get added to the card so I can use it too. If I add my name to the card, will that prevent me from being able to get a Chase Sapphire in a few months?
No, but it will count towards your 5/24 eligibility.

So, unless you need the extra personal credit history, I'd suggest that you cancel your authorized user as soon as you meet the $4K spend threshold.

Can anyone explain how the 100K is used? What is the "Chase Ultimate Rewards"? I'm trying to understand if I get 1,250 back on my cc to us or I have to use it towards something through their rewards program?
Ordinary rewards:

https://www.valuepenguin.com/chas...te-rewards

Pay Yourself Back Program (expires 9/30/2021)
https://thepointsguy.com/guide/ch...self-back/

Note: Purchases used to meet the 4K spend limit are not eligible for redemption under the Pay Yourself Back Program. (You can redeem them, but then the purchases will be withdrawn from your spend limit computation - jeopardizing your bonus!)

Okay. I am not too familiar with the differences. Have never played the points game till now. I have no idea what the monetary value of 180K (or just got an email for 200K) Hilton points are worth. I travel a week a quarter for business and yet, I never bothered to get a Hilton card as I don't know much about the points. I am a straight up cash back guy.

So, what is the monetary value of the 180K Hilton points if you don't mind me asking?

They're worth roughly 0.4-0.5 cents a point for Hilton Hotel bookings.

You can sometimes do a little better or worse depending on the property and the time of year.

Unlike Chase points they can't be used as cash.

(you can redeem them for amazon purchases I think but that's even worse- 0.2 cents per point- absolute garbage).

BTW given how much you travel you'd be MUCH better off using your credit card points for travel awards instead of cash.

As an example the 100k points of this signup is only $1000 taken as cash-- but $1250 in the Chase portal for travel spend.

And potentially several grand transfered to airlines or hotels (Hyatt especially).

All that said- the Hilton cards are fine to get down the line once you've north of 5/24 anyway and have worked through all the more valuable signups... but the Aspire is the only one potentially worth actually keeping (since you can make it profitable year over year if you can get use of both the resort and airline credits- and you get diamond status along with it).

What is the minimum (smallest) credit line for this card? I know there is $4K of spend required, so I'm guessing the minimum credit line would be at least $5k. (I'm wondering how much credit line I would need and could slide from other Chase cards, if necessary.)

Just went into a chase branch to create a new profile for me. She put in my drivers license info and the offer popped up. Had to verify it was me, then had to move credit around from my other cards. After it was done, I have to call the fraud department to make sure it's me…and they're only open 9-6EST.

Thanks for the info. What's your credit line on this new card? How much did you have to move from other cards? (I think I will probably have to do the same thing.)

I don't think the $95 version card gives diamond status, gold probably. The hhonor points could be valuable in some special situations: I brought my family with me to a conference once and the venue hilton jacked up the price and them gave conference goers a discount rate. But the place was not really on high demand so the award room was available. I ended up paying for another room with the points at 1.5 cents per point.

Does anyone know about this 48-month period wait time starts on the day you sign up on the previous card or the day you cancel it?
