I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Being an AU of another CSP does not disqualify you from getting one for your own, but you'll still be under the radar of 5/24 rule.
Edit: A friendly reminder to you. It'd be better if you apply via your wife's referral link and she will get another 20K bonus points once you're approved.

quick question. My wife approved for the card last month and added me as the authorization user. Can I apply one on my own and also receive the bonus after meeting the spending limit ? Thanks in advance
muradshahnawaz needs to be careful. The terms say 48 months since receiving THE BONUS, not since signup. So they will need to check their old statements to find if the SUB landed in September (waiting 2 more months), or November... Some don't hit the MSR within a month of signing up so waiting just 2 months could prevent them from getting the SUB.
Cancelled my no AF sapphire card early last week and tried to apply in branch last Friday but the banker couldn't pull up an application cause the credit bureaus haven't updated with the cancellation yet. They said it could take 60 days to update. Woe is me.
Called Chase to apply for the preferred promotion last week on Wednesday. Rep said I needed to close the only Sapphire card, wait a day, and then apply for the promo online. Followed her instructions. Closed Sapphire card on Wednesday. Applied online and was instantly approved shortly after by calling the recon line on Thursday. Got the preferred card on Monday of this week. Chase app shows I need to spend 4k in order to get the 100k points.
Seems like everyone's experiences vary after closing their account.

That's great to hear and a good data point. I'm trying to avoid the AF by applying in branch but if this 100k offer will end anytime soon, I might just try applying online too and eating the first year AF.
Got the in branch deal a couple of weeks ago. Does anyone know if they will extend the pay yourself back past end of September? Hoping to redeem for $1500 in credits with my CSR but it will be cutting it close

So I am about to get my 100,000 points. I do not wish to renew the cost of the card in 9 months. I have a Chase freedom card and a Chase Amazon card as well. My questions are as follows:
How do I maximize points? If I take straight cash I get $900 or $1,000 correct?
If I want to use it for airlines and or hotels how do I do so and maximize?
Lastly if I don't use the points or I don't use all the points and it becomes the end of the year what do I do to cancel the card and keep the points if possible?
you wanna pay my bills to meet the requirement .. i see some one mentioning that we can pay rent with the card .. see if that helps ..

At least in CA, I believe you can pay property taxes for a small fee (1.5%) added to the bill by the County. In my case, that's just my first six-months bill
