I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Haha...very funny SV. Now I'm also thinking of that Costco TMO iPhone 13 deal where you can get $720 virtual card when you buy a 2nd phone. But I will be a new customer and need to sell these phones since I'm only doing this deal to charge to my card.
I don't know much about the app. Even though I downloaded the app in order to track my purchase totals, I never got around to using it. (Didn't need to track my purchases because I burned through the $4K in the first two weeks due to emergency vet bills and truck repairs.)
Oh, yeah... if you're looking for ways to spend money, just pick up a "free" kitten. If you're lucky, you can end up paying 3 grand in vet bills in the first month of ownership ... plus cat food ... kitty snacks ... cat litter ... cat deodorizer ... bed ... kennel ... toys ... food and water dishes ... scratching post ... etc. ... like me!
Haha, you're a good person. I actually have a dog that might need some knee surgery.
I think Costco GCs are solely sold from Costco, which is considered wholesale clubs and not qualified for PYB. Same to Sam's Club. Home Depot GCs purchased from Home Depot and supermarkets will qualify, but not from other stores like Best Buy or Target.
Another quick way to burn your spending is to load your Amazon account GC balance with your CSP.

Yeah, I think I'll do mostly Costco, Sam's club and Home Depot gift cards. Gift cards bought from 6 these retailers will qualify for pay yourself back?

DP: DG'ed my CSR to Freedom 9/8 and applied for CSP 9/17 and was not immediately approved. Chase reviewed the application and approved it 1 day later. Nothing required on my part.

Buy Walmart gift cards at Walmart. You can use Walmart gift card in Sam's.
Walmart purchase eligible for PYB.
You can get Visa/MC from one of the groceries store and load it up. I think it will show up as groceries. Unless Chase flag a $2k spend at a grocery store for fraud or something.
I am not going to use points on travel/dining/shopping, what's the best method to use the points and get the most bang for the buck? I think Cashback or Pay your self back looks to be the options, correct?
Does any one know what's the difference between Cashback and Pay your self back? Which one is better?
The minimum redemption value is $1 per 100 points for statement credit. Pay Yourself Back is 1.25x redemption ratio on eligible purchases such as restaurant/dining, home improvement, grocery, select charity, Lyft riding, and travel through Chase portal. In other words, PYB has 25% more redemption value. Chase has put all the cards on the table. You have to plan ahead of your spending to maximize the value of reward points.

what's a huge purchase/spending that i can charge if i have 20 more days for my 3 months anniversary? i already paid my 6 months car insurance. can i pay for my mortgage etc? i only spent $600 so far, damnnn.
Applied online a few days ago and had to wait for a decision. Yesterday got a call from 888-373-1969, said was from chase and asked for my dob, I refuse to answer and call was ended. Then I got denial letter today, called recon to see if they can move some credit around, they will call me back. They had mentioned that someone tried to call me yesterday so perhaps that call was legit though I had googled that number and some say that number was a scam.
Btw recon line was 888-270-2127, I had seen typo with 800 when I did a search.
In the situation like yours, I usually refuse to provide any personal info over the phone to an unknown caller like what you did. I'd even try to avoid answering any questions with a "yes" or "no" response. I'd ask the caller to put a note on my account, however, and then I call the bank myself. So the rep will see what is the current issue of my account when I call.

You can parlay 100K points into $1,250 worth of travel purchases by using the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal.
Assuming that you previously set up your online Chase account, you can navigate to the Ultimate Rewards portal from your credit card account page (see attached image).
1. Click on the link shown.
2. The next screen that opens up will show your different UR accounts. Select the credit card account that you wish to use.
3. When the Ultimate Rewards portal comes up, click on the menu icon (three horizontal bars in the upper left corner). Select "Travel".
4. From there, booking your travel is straightforward... similar to most other travel websites.
As to redeeming for gift cards, after clicking the menu icon in step 3, select "Gift Cards". You can choose from a wide assortment of gift cards from the available choices, including Amazon Gift Cards. However, redemption is usually 1 cents per point. Your 100K bonus points would only be worth $1,000, not $1,250.
You also have the option of redeeming the points for cash, either as a statement credit or as a deposit to your financial institution at a penny a point. Again, your 100K bonus points would be worth $1,000.
