I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I travel for work and attempted to use my Chase 5% back, however the actual cost of the travel was 25% higher when booking through Chase.
That will happen when using a travel portal as compared to booking directly, which is why it is wise to comparison shop.

However, I've found that many (most?) times, prices are about the same when comparing between travel portals. In particular, Expedia prices tend to be identical ... because the Chase UR portal uses the Expedia platform.

PYB categories will change after Dec 31st or the program/promo 1.25x itself will expire?
FYI

Please be apprised that previous information given to you about the extension of the Pay Yourself Back program has been put into question:
https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=149977027&postcount=5097

Given the lack of any credible support at this late date, it's beginning to look like the PYB program will expire in a couple of days.

Edit: PYB extended to 3/31/2022, limited categories for redemption.

If I don't plan to travel anytime soon, would it be best to use the points for PYB? It's the same redemption value right? Or would it be better to save the points for travel in 2023 or later?

This may be worthwhile even if I never end up using it for travel, but: does Chase include the likes of Airbnb, Turo car rentals, etc. in the "travel" category for calculating points earned? (I assume the UR portal only includes traditional hotel and car rental options, plus airfare.)

You get 1 point 2 points for every dollar spent directly on AirBNB, car rentals, and any other travel expense.

You get 5 points for every dollar spent using the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal (except the first $50 in hotels, for which you'll earn the $50 hotel credit). To see what is available for purchase through the portal, try it yourself:

Basically, anything you can find on Expedia, you'll find using the travel portal.

I wouldn't put the nail in the coffin yet. This exact same thing happened back in April. The website showed a 4/30/21 expiration date all the way until the last day and May 1st it magically was still working. If there are reports of an extension, I assume it came from somewhere credible. We will find out tomorrow.

Nope... 2 points per dollar for normal travel spend on the CSP (3x on CSR)

You can't downgrade or product change during the first year. You are only allowed to do so after the first anniversary. When you see your account being hit by the annual fee, it is time you can downgrade. Chase will give you a full refund of the annual fee if you make your request within 30 days of the annual fee posted to your account.
If it has been less than a year on the CSP, are you allowed to cancel it and upgrade a Freedom card to CSR?

Probably not without paying a fee that would likely completely offset the benefit to be gained by the meeting the promotion.

Canceling the card and upgrading the card are two different scenarios. Canceling means account closure. A product change is exchanging (upgrading/downgrading) your existing credit card for another one within that same issuer's portfolio of products and retain the account history. You can close your CSP account (canceling) anytime you want, but you are not allowed to have a product change (upgrading/downgrading) during the first year. See below post before you proceed to cancel your credit card account in the first year.

You will have to pay through a third-party payment service like Plastiq with a fee although they will count as purchases towards the minimum spend.
