Also a side note for $10 more you get an echo dot. Makes the deal even sweeter. So $209.99

Dang, I still haven't installed my Ring alarm from a post from 2019 Prime Day yet, and I am thinking... "might as well get the gen 2 so if I ever install it I will have the better one :/"

https://slickdeals.net/e/13220824-ring-alarm-enhanced-14-piece-protection-kit-echo-dot-3rd-gen-works-with-alexa-214

Note there are many other options also on deep discount for early prime day. I think the one in this post is the one I would pick, but if you don't need 2 keypads, and have a smaller place, this one saves you $50, and on the same page there are different bundle options with around $100 off (with Ring Cam, with Ring doorbell, etc.):

EDIT: Yep, I ordered this 14 piece kit... "Hi, my name is Mike, and I am a slickdeal-o-holic Frown"

How would that work when it's a package price and the components are not individually priced.
Might not work this time, given everything shows up as one line item as a 14 piece set for $200. The last time they had this bundle on Prime day, it showed up as a bunch of different orders with individual parts having their own invoices, prices, return options, etc.

What are the advantages of getting a Ring camera along with the Alarm system? If you already have other cameras that detect motion and record locally and/or to cloud?

I looked at the "Works with Ring" page for compatibility with 3rd party devices, but it seems like although there are several device categories there, cameras are not one of them. So I assume only Ring cameras can integrate with the Ring Alarm.

Technically the Ring cameras don't even integrate with the Ring Alarm. Just use the same app. The only real advantage is lifetime warranty/theft protection and cloud hosting is part of the $10/mo (or $100/yr) protection plan with the alarm system.

Personally I have a Ring doorbell and am picking up this 14-piece kit, but all my other interior/exterior cameras are my own homebrew local system.

Thanks. I thought maybe the Ring camera(s) were triggered when one of the sensors is triggered, but maybe I misread that. Of course if there's anything moving in their field of view they should be capturing it anyway based on their own motion detection.

Yes, you can set that option to do that.

Received it a couple of days after ordering it and installed it already. The same happened to another order of mine. Rescheduled 3 times which added 4 days to the original delivery date. Good luck!
