I don't know if I'd be ready to trust Eufy yet with an indoor camera after they let other people view others camera feed and recordings history.
I just used black electric tape. No issues for a year now northeast pa
I started with Wyze, then upgraded to Eufy based on the "easy RTSP" and 2k statements. However, there is some misinformation about it. In case it helps somebody, Eufy's RTSP stream is limited to 1080p, not 2k. That matches Wyze. I added all my indoor cameras to Blue Iris and blocked their Internet access. The Eufy app doesn't allow you to access the cameras without Internet even if you are connected to the LAN, but the RTSP stream works and you can access the recordings via Blue Iris/other NVR.

For Amazon Prime members only, if you haven't been a prime member try a free trial during this great prime 2 day sale!

I was considering the $30 regular 2K version but found the pan and tilt 2K for $36 and because I love the regular version so much I grabbed 2 of the pan and tilt instead. Even used is $45 ! Good?

FYI bad reviews with Homekit but I am an android user and would never know.

I wish these were homebase compatible. Weird that they're not, but seems like they just want you to buy the more expensive ones.

I have a homebase Gen 1 and honestly it's only made so that there's a safe indoor storage of data. Otherwise it would be stolen and make the outdoor cams larger and be less water resistant/ use more power.

I dunno if there's any benefit if you use these indoors.
These indoor cameras have microsd installed and the same ai, detection, etc. Only requires its own storage but thats the main reason.

Dunno if homebase does continuous recording either due to the wireless cameras. But these can record 24/7 which I need to see around the alerts. Anyway to each their own cheers

It just seems like Eufy should allow the customer to choose to either use the homebase storage or microsd storage, a simple FW update would solve that.

Have 4 of these and 1 regular 2k.
Def get the pan & tilt over the 2k. The extra $10 is worth the convenience to remotely move it around and get the position just right.
I turn auto tracking off though because its terrible and doesnt return to original starting position.

Use these outside for a year now with no issues besides 1 of 5 always randomly goes offline for a bit. Some weeks its fine. Then one will go offline.
I thinks it getting better.

With motion tracking had a little bit better distance.

Gonna grab another one with this prime deal now.

I've bought three of these already and just brought my fourth. I think these are really a great value, but I should disclose I haven't owned any other type of security camera. You do have to buy a micro SD card for each one to review video later without a subscription. I guess there are some tricky NAS options also.

Got me another one. These work great outside. Put a strip of silicone cock where there micro sd card goes to prevent moisture from getting in. They've been outside for over a year with zero problems.

Does anyone have experience with Kasa as well, and can compare the two? The Eufy 2K and Kasa 2K camera seem pretty similar, so it's the little details that would make the difference
