Inventory has been floating in and out, but you can get a 3080 and a modern processor as low as $1767 before any discounts or cash back. By far the cheapest 3080 desktop I've seen, though I chose one with more ram, storage, and a better processor because i plan to use it not sell.

Also tons of 3070, 3060, 3060ti, 2080ti etc with varying processors, RAM, NVMe 4 storage etc.

best part is this is all in stock. I ordered one last night and added next day shipping for $25, it will be here at noon today via fedex.

*edit* if the links don't work you can get there pretty quickly through dell home - deals - dell outlet - for home, then "shop alienware" under "refurbished and overstock desktops and all-in-ones"

please don't mark expired, this goes in and out of stock hourly, just keep checking, and grab one if you can!

Any issues in upgrading the ram later that you know off?
there's also a lot of discussion on RAM that muddies the water like: https://www.dell.com/community/Al...-p/7796701

I'm either going to get 2 sticks of 32 or 4 sticks of 16 3400/3600 RAM and sell my stock 16GB stick, or try and find a matching 16 somewhere. There was a deal recently for 2 x 32GB sticks of 3000MHz for like $260 I think? Slower RAM but probably would work and not noticeably slower

A low priced outlet deal with a basic video card, nice r9 5950x and 64GB would be perfect...
There's a 5950x with a gtx1660 but only 8GB for $1732. price would need to be quite a bit lower with that video card and ram would need to be at least 32 GB for me to pull the trigger.

combining parts may also affect the warranty

I think so, and the other 2 have disappeared now too, so you're not alone.

mine is a ryzen 7 5800x, 16GB DDR3200, 1TB pcie 4.0 ssd, and kiler ac wireless, and was $275 or so more.
The only thing that kept me from pulling the trigger on one of those 3 was I need more RAM, 8GB won't cut it for me

if you're buying it to keep probably just throw another 8 GB of ram and it'll do everything you need it to do.

even if you're buying it just to flip the card, you can get nearly every penny back of that 1760 and have a decent modern desktop ready for a lesser card. part it out entirely and you can probably be up about $300-400 with little effort (1700 for the 3080, 200 for the r5 3500, 50 for the storage, 75 for the ram, 200 for the case and board)
Just keep in mind the Alienware R10 does NOT have pcie 4.0 slots for anything but a single GPU card. The m.2 SSD only works as a pcie 3.0 drive, NOT 4.0. You can research this as there are many articles in last couple months regarding this. Dell limited it on the board to save a few $$$

yeah good info and worth noting, but it's still a 4.0 drive, so whenever you upgrade to the latest and greatest you'll have a 4.0 capable drive to transfer over, and 3.0 is no slouch 3Gb/s vs 5Gb/s is not a big difference for the vast majority of disk usage
