You can't get high frame rates in 4K even with something like a 3090 driving it. This card can barely get 60-75FPS in most AAA games, forget about 120+. High frame rate 4K gaming is still kinda not a thing and probably won't be for another generation of cards. It's nice to know 4K is becoming more available in monitors, but 1440p (2K) will be the sweet spot for a while to come.
I'm having a hard time with finding a decent 1440p card let along 4k.
Yes, 2k/120+ is better than 4k/60

I have a feeling that sub-4K displays at 144Hz will be popular for a while until we get more GPU's readily available.

1440p/120Hz is the staple of Series X/PS5 gaming as well. 4K/60+ is not there yet for console

Clamp. It's a very good ergo arm I think.

Would folks go with this over the Gigabyte M27Q for mixed use? (I.e. Normal office work and gaming). At a real quick glance, M27q seems to have better contrast and brightness and color calibration out of the box (all of which are appealing to me), main benefit of the LG is ergonomics?

Rtings reviews below for reference:

I opted for the LG through this deal (thanks OP!) over the Gigabyte. The Rtings review mentioned some minor issues with blurry text which was enough for me to decide I didn't want to deal with it.

I have the LG 27GL83A-B.
This has almost an identical panel and I might pick one up.

The biggest difference between these two is the Sub-Pixel layout.
LG uses RGB
G7 uses BGR
This allows the LG to get a little more accurate color Post-Calibration
Also, the sub-pixel layout on the G7 can cause some issues for people and text clarity, others don't care.

I could be wrong, but doesn't Cold War get 4K 120hz on ps5 on a monitor with hdmi 2.1? There are many articles that support this. But it isn't something I have tested.
