This is the more budget tiered Acer Spin 713 from 2020, not the 2021 version or top tier. The 2k screen, glass trackpad, and other build is the same, but has lower specced CPU, RAM, and hard drive.

How much faster is EMMC over SSD?
eMMC is slower than SSDs. It's cheap memory, which is why manufacturers use it on inexpensive devices.
It is possible to change and upgrade the SSD on the 713:

Can 100% confirm you can NOT upgrade anything internally with this specific variant, the emmc storage is soldered onto the board, there is also no second storage slot to add an additional SSD. This is the entry level variant for this model so nothing internally, RAM & storage included, can be altered.
It is slow to wake up though. Screen comes on quickly, but it is unresponsive for around 10secs. Might be to do with the EMMC?

Acer one is about $50 cheaper (if you can make use of the free controller), has better build quality and much better 2-in-1 to use in tablet mode and productivity use cases.
Basically identical but with the EVO processor. Much better graphics and Thunderbolt 4.
