Which is it? Not supposed to kill them or will kill them within hours?
Sprays like Raid kill on contact. This creates a border that bugs won't cross...but if they do, it will slowly poison them. Think of it like poison a mouse eats vs a mousetrap.

What's the best at getting rid of ants in house?

A thin line of borax up against the baseboards works for me. And the ants were bad before I put this down.

They should for sure. Note: it's only good for ants that dig on sugar (which is most house and) but some don't. Also give it time, it can take a week or two to truly wipe out the colony, but they will be gone for good.

I've had good luck with this stuff. Here in Texas, I'll spray around the base of my house and the inside near doors/windows probably twice in a week or two and be fine all summer (which here is 9 months). Try to do it when there's no rain coming. Not sure if those not getting the results spray once and rain washes it away or what.

Yeah, I was just about to post something similar. I use Bifen XTS. It's like $40 a bottle, but it makes 32 gallons. Waaay cheaper, works well, and I can bump up the concentrate a few times a year.

Bifen XTS for Exterior, Bifen IT for interior!

Can honestly say that Terro works within minutes. A few drops of the liquid ant solution and dozens and dozens of ants immediately come drinking it up. Within days, almost entirely gone!

I've also used the posted deal and had zero success on ants.

For any type of ants you need Taurus SC Termite and Ant Control 78oz, it's expensive but very effective I have it sprayed professionally every year they also include another chemical for spiders. Centipede etc and I have had great success, DIY only last so long and industry is designed to keep buying from them

I use Bifen XTS too and highly recommend that if you regularly spray for insects and use a good amt each year.

Yup, I spray Taurus SC around the perimeter of my home once each spring, and have been ant free in my home for years, since I started it. Works way better than anything you can buy at the stores, and since it is highly concentrated, one jug will last you years. It's what pros use.

Good for the auto sprayer. The other brands sprayers leak or drive me nuts. Else, you'd have to go to lowes to get the craftsman auto sprayer to attach to the bottle to replace the original (this one's noisier, but sprays faster and farther. https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-1-Gallon-Tank-Sprayer/1001433038)

...

To really kill, https://www.lowes.com/pd/BAYER-AD...er/3033912

Get concentrate and mix to your own kill strength. 2x, 3x etc stronger.

The concentration for this deal is fine for the average issues - regular ants, the roach, minor infestations. Up the concentration to 2x+ and you can go nuclear.

...

These are water-based, so if you're not in a sunny year-round environment, you'll want to consider oil-based so the rain won't wash them away.

...

Keep in mind, you'll want bait based killers put out, too.

https://www.lowes.com/pd/TERRO-4-...1000329055
Terro for the ants
Same type for the roaches

Or roach motels (https://www.lowes.com/pd/BLACK-FL...k/50328413)

...

Perimeter all the way around the house where the wall meets the ground is the first step. Feel free to go heavy with the concentration because it'll help stop termites (although there's more to it if you're trying to do that for sure).

Bait traps in the garage, kitchen, behind toilets.

...

Then, we'll see if you can keep a KonMarie clean house. Meaning trash bag, trash taken out daily, no dishwasher with dishes left unwashed at the end of the day, no open food (always plastic wrap, clips), every kitchen surface wiped down by the end of the day, same with dining table, and areas vacuumed (no food one the ground), bathroom gets wiped down with lysol wipes once a week if not sanitised other ways.

If you can't do that, the bugs will keep coming... Thus, wrap duct tape around the legs of the bed so the adhesive faces out so they can't craw up your butt at night, if you can keep the house clean.

...

Outdoors, if you're in a dry area, you'll want to keep the lawn moist - no water and bugs will want to craw into the house to search.

If wet, good luck. Bugs will run in to escape the floods. You'll want to seal gaps and cracks to prevent easy entry. (Eg silicone caulk, gorilla construction adhesive, etc , something waterproof). Pipes and wires entering the home, around light fixures at the wall, etc.

Seems like I didnt buy the house to live but instead just do pest control.

This stuff must work. I haven't had an exterminator for many years, but I do spray this in room corners and at the bottom/side gaps in doors and windows. I will occasionally see a bug in my home and it will always be dead.

Get roach gel for roaches. It doesn't kill them but makes them infertile. I saw the occasional roach when I first moved in. I haven't seen one in years since using the gel.
