Before anyone asks, this isn't compatible with the PS5 since it's a 3rd Gen NVME drive. Sony hasn't released the firmware that unlocks that ability so we're still waiting on it. Good price!

I just purchased this drive a week ago. Just FYI this is drive has no dram. It's great for a extra storage or games drive but maybe not so much for a boot drive. Without the dram once capacity is close to being reached the drive will slow. Just wanted to point this out since it's not very apparent. That being said, I use it for games storage and it works great.

I meant an older circa 2015. I upgraded once with an adapter but not sure if it can handle 1TB.

Try google the compatible Ssd, there's a list for that.

You better get a Ssd from that list, not every Ssd works ok with adapter. What I learned was the WD sn750 had issues , but no one mentioned it. Anyway, the point is that a cheap SSD works better than the expensive ones

To add to this: I can't speak for compatibility with any random adapter, but OWC makes a 1 TB and a 2 TB drive for that range of MacBook Air, so the computer itself doesn't have issues with that capacity. Link if interested: https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/s...-2014-2015

Is this a good upgrade for the SSD on a Dell XPS 9380?

Samsung SSD are the best IMO, i still have one reliably working in my 2009 Dell XPS 1645, 256GB MLC SSD, if it lasted me 12 years of daily usage that speaks volume in durability. I remember that SSD option back in 2009 cost me dearly for half the capacity of a STD Sata 500GB.
