After their scummy business practice of bundling, never buying from Newegg again.

Decent price, but I am going to guess its because it was a highly demanded cpu many months ago and now not many people need overpriced cpus anymore so they probably have a huge supply they cant sell because people stopped buying them so are forced to drop prices.

Its only $30 off anyways. This should have been a $200-250 cpu anyways.

That's literally how companies clear out inventory of stuff they cant sell or get kickbacks from vendors. Nothing Newegg has actually done was "shady". Amazon, microcenter, Newegg, best buy, monoprice.... They all did business the same way during the pandemic and still do.
No, best buy and Amazon have been retail price for gpus and cpus and consoles when in stock. And the gpus and cpus weren't in bundles. and Walmart amd target didn't bundle anything. also supply and demand only works sometimes. like chicken prices, on wings specially, went up years ago when the industry found out a lot of ppl were buying them, even though there wasn't a shortage. now the parts that used to be dirt cheap like wings, are as much or more per pound than boneless chicken breast. and the diamond market has been artificially inflated for years because demand is low on those but the industry still wants people to think of them as a high value item.

Agreed. It's the new 3600X, and it should be $225 at most right now. The only reason it's higher is because of the 5000-series price structure increase.

Good deal on a good CPU, I have not had any issues with NewEgg over the years. I also have no problem with them selling products at market prices or reserving stock for customers that are spending more on entire systems.

Uh no. Amazon/best buy went out of stock for the majority of the year. They allow 3rd party sellers (which accounts for a large amount of their sales) to go way over MSRP. You are learning how capitalism works. Don't be shocked.

Glad to see prices are finally starting to come down on high demand items.

As for the haters, AMD had to sell essentially inferior parts at a deep discount for years in order to compete with Intel and they took some heavy losses during that time. Now that they have processors that can not only compete but best Intel at it's own game (x86), I personally do not begrudge them making a profit. After all, a company can't go on forever at a loss and this competition is the only thing keeping CPU's from costing 2 or 3 times what they are now.

If you have a Micro Center close, this has been their everyday price for a couple of months now. Also, you can get $20 off when bundling a motherboard.
It's $279.99 at MC, got one last week, but being a TRUE Slickdealer I am of course contemplating ordering this and returning/getting back $10. Lol

Not sure you understand how supply and demand works. Supply doesn't dictate pricing. Manufacturers set prices and the demand increases or decreases based on the elasticity of demand. If you can increase prices and the increase in revenue outweighs the reduction in demand, companies will do that.

With that said, bundling in-demand items with stuff nobody wants is not a great way to get people to purchase when other retailers aren't doing that.

They're mad Newegg raises their prices due to supply and demand on various products the past year. Ya know. Capitalism. They wanted to make more money. For shame.
Sounds like a tactic of most successful businesses

Hadn't thought of this. Thanks. Will mean having to go to the store though I'm guessing?
