The 3600 should be under $200, as a reference point.
The 2600 was under $140 for months.
A 3700X at $260 would be the lowest price for that CPU in a long time. My budget for a CPU is $160 and nothing with 6 cores is near that now.
Prices for most CPUs are starting down again according to camel camel camel.
BTW, lots of people don't game and don't care about GPUs at all, but still need lots of cores and performance.
My bad! The entire time I was assuming the AMD 3600 was still the low price of around $150!
My mind was still stuck in 2020 prices [that is when I purchased it].
I apologize to everyone in this post. With this new found knowledge of the 3600 going for nearly the same price of the 5600x, I can clearly see now the 5600x is a much better deal!
