Game Description:- 5 years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.

I loved the first game, I played it when it released on the PS3. Then I played the remastered version on the PS4.
I'm not sure how people complain about Part II for being "woke" but are quiet about the DLC for the first game....
Regardless this is clearly "Part II" of TLoU; not TLoU 2. That's a big distinction.
I wasn't able to play this until about a month ago. I was able to go almost a whole year without reading any spoilers and I was unaware of all the "uproar" and didn't hear any of it until maybe a week or two ago.
Pretty ridiculous IMO; I thought the game looked better and played better than it's predecessor. I found it engaging and I have no idea how anyone can call it an interactive movie when games like "Until Dawn" exist (which I also enjoyed).
Yes, they kill off a main character. If you know that's coming before you do your first playthrough, I'm sorry and I imagine that spoils some of the enjoyment as you're anticipating it happening and it won't feel as surreal as it did to me.
I thought the writers did a good job of having you feel empathy and anger towards both female leads. I don't know if it's sexism that makes people angry about this game or problems with LGBTQ characters but let's not forget that "Bill" is most likely gay in the first installment.
Anyways, it cracks me up to see some of the justifications of why people don't like this. I have a hard time believing more than a handful of those who are positing negative comment after negative comment have actually played this.
