Right, just returned from a bidding on a house that was estimated at 279K (by zillow), and sold for 328k while the bidder did not even inspect the goods...

You had no choice with that lack of inventory, so don't feel bad. It happens, I got the 5900x back in July. New processors coming from Intel are going to be way faster and honestly I could had waited. Just be happy with your decision and game on.
