I think so, personally, though it comes down to what you value and your use case. In terms of hardware, you could probably find a similarly specced machine in terms of CPU and RAM, you'll be hard-pressed to find a screen of this resolution and quality at this price on other laptops. This Chromebook also has an NVME drive, which I don't think you see at this price range (though Best Buy doesn't appear to mention it in the specs, which is kind of terrible on their part).



To me, this is the toughest part of recommending a Chromebook. A lot of the time, there's simply one or two things a person wants or needs a native Windows app if they're asking this question. I will happily recommend a Chromebook as a person's 2nd computer (e.g. they have a desktop at home and want something simple, fast, and portable).

If you were to buy this, I think you'd be very happy with the build quality, form factor, and speed of the device. The simplicity of ChromeOS can be a double-edged sword for some. I think it's great, but again, some people want a fuller OS experience. What I can't answer is if there's a specific use case where you may run into an issue due to not having a specific Windows application.

Overall, this is a very good price on a well-regarded device. If I were in the market, I'd consider it.

I bought this originally with the refurbished deal for $33.25 cheaper including tax and it includes a two-year warranty. Is it worth returning the refurbished model for a new unit?

Also is it worth me paying $234.75 more than the refurbished to get the 2021 model (new) from Best Buy?

I was thinking of the Flex 3 for lower price.

I have an Acer that died due to a very well known hardware(memory or processor chip) defect. The thing just stop working on it's own. Ever since I shy away from Acer. Right now I trust Lenovo more than Acer.
