If you are a new customer and want to get the GC instead of bill credits
1) Port in as a new customer with your existing phone (BYOD)
2) After line ported in, ask for upgrade; you pay the full price ($729 for the iPhone 13 mini and so on).
3) Anywhere between 4 - 12 weeks after, you'll get a $300 gift card.
4) After 60 days service and paying at least one billing cycle - you can request unlock of the iphone.
5) After unlocking + getting the GC : you can cancel service or continue as you wish.

I do see the mention on Phonearena re 200$+ homepod; but doesn't clarify the base pricing; plus, starting Sep 24th; many things could change in between.
If it does come out as mentioned, that would be a good deal; but I draw the line at "great customer service"; my experience with their customer service has been spotty, and the fact that you can only "chat" through the app, don't have a call in number, or any other way to contact is kind of "meh".

Irrespective I hate Comcast and Verizon and TWC so definitely it's a no go.
If the visible offer comes through, I would move other line. If not I would stick to t mobile until I find something which doesn't lock me on for 2 years.
Do you know any of the other info, such as how to even claim this deal as an existing customer? And do I understand correctly that I don't even have to stay with them? It says "the phone must remain active for 15 days", so that makes it sound like you don't have to stay with them beuond 15 days if you do it as an existing customer.
How to claim this deal as an existing customer :
An existing customer is someone who ALREADY has one or more lines with Xfinity mobile; if you have been an Internet / TV customer but not activated any mobile service with them, you are NOT an existing customer but a new one.
If you are an existing customer - log in to your XM account (not the internet / cable account, but the account for XM); then click on "Devices" in the menu. You will see a list of your current devices / lines; pick any of the devices that are shown as "Paid in full" or "Bring Your Own". Note that if you have any other devices on instalments (shown by "X payment remaining); THOSE devices can't be upgraded, but the ones that are paid off / BYO can be,
Select whichever of those devices you want to upgrade / replace with the new iPhone, click on it; the next screen will show you an option that says "Replace your device". Clicking on that will take you another screen that says "Get a new device for this line"; clicking on that takes you to the "phone shop" screen, where you can pick the model you want, and select whether you want to pay full price or instalments.
At this point - you again are shown the option to add a line or replace a device.
Note that if you opt for instalments, you do have to port in a number (which gets the $300 off over 24 months or $12.50 per month) or get a new number (which doesn't get the $300 off device credits)
Also - if you select instalments and "replace your device" - you don't get the $300 off; you pay full price in instalments.
You need to select the "pay in full" and "replace your device" to qualify for the $300 GC.
Take screenshots of your selection and cart, just in case you need to talk to the CS and show your eligibility.
If you are a new customer - the only way to get the $300 is through 24 months device credits.
If you are an existing customer - select "replace my device" and pay in full upfront.

Thanks!
Edit: Found that, thanks!
Basically nobody has shown how existing customers even get the deal claimed and if there's really any requirement to stay with them. And also how it works when on a deal with the same line already, waiting on a gc to be mailed for byod.
You need to stay on the plan for 15 days, to qualify for the GC.
You need to stay on the plan for 60 days, to unlock the iPhone, if you are an existing customer with one or more lines; Or for 24 months, if you are a new customer.
If you don't want to unlock it, you can port out earlier, but that becomes an expensive tablet alternative..
You need to continue being a customer (can be with other lines) - to chase up and get the GC; in theory, you can stop being a customer after unlock, but for you to get the GC in the first place, chances are you find the XM service worthwhile.
Trying to figure out what the sweet spot in the iphone line up is. Current android user thinking about making the jump.

But as an existing customer - you could have got the SE 2020 64 GB for free (either GC cashback or bill credits) through last year and part of this year.
If you haven't been a customer of XM earlier - you can get the SE 2020 64 GB for the same $100 - but getting the $300 back over 24 months, you don't pay anything up front.

So do you know if I would be forfeiting the byod gc for the 12 if I upgrade to the 13 before the minimum amount of time has gone by for the original byod deal? I wills till be a customer the number of days needed for the byod gc, but maybe it is forfeited when "replacing the device", ie the device is no longer with them so maybe that cancels it out?
I think for byod it said I had to stay 90 days. If so I am about 36 days away from that 90 day point right now. About tempted to do this deal and forget the gc since it was already
"Disclaimer

So do you need to be an Xfinity Internet customer to get Xfinity Mobile service and/or the $300.00 promo?
Technically - you could request unlock on the 61st day; you'd have paid for the first month around the 45th day, and the 2nd month dues would be "pending". I'm guessing that's why Xfinity put their clause as 60 days service and 1 billing cycle.

Yes - though in my case, it was probably day 64 or 65 for one of the phones, and for two others more like 75 days.
