Make sure you keep a screenshot of your order summary where it mentions the gc. Knowing comcast you won't get anything and the horrible CS will ask you to cancel your service.

I've gotten multiple gift cards from XM without issue in deals like this. Last year the two I got with the iPhone 12 Pros came in like a month. It used to be 12-16 weeks and took every bit of that. Even though this isn't a significant upgrade for me, it's really tempting.

Nope. If you're a new customer and porting in - you get it as "bill credits over 24 months". If you terminate early, you lose the discount over the remaining period ($15 per month x number of months remaining); you'll effectively be paying full price less the number of months that you actually got the $15/mth discount.

If you are a new customer and want to get the GC instead of bill credits

1) Port in as a new customer with your existing phone (BYOD)
2) After line ported in, ask for upgrade; you pay the full price ($729 for the iPhone 13 mini and so on).
3) Anywhere between 4 - 12 weeks after, you'll get a $300 gift card.
4) After 60 days service and paying at least one billing cycle - you can request unlock of the iphone.
5) After unlocking + getting the GC : you can cancel service or continue as you wish.

"Disclaimer

So do you need to be an Xfinity Internet customer to get Xfinity Mobile service and/or the $300.00 promo?
Yes.

If you are an Xfinity Internet customer (but not yet a XM customer) - you can port a number in and get the phone with $300 back over 24 months (device credits).

If you are an Xfinity Internet customer AND an existing XM customer - you may be able to "replace your device" and get $300 GC cashback when you pay in full. If you're already on a device payment plan for an existing line, you can't replace your device; but you can port in a number and get the device credits for the new number.

If you're not an Xfinity Internet customer, you may not be able to join XM directly; you'd need to sign up for Internet, then sign up for the mobile service..

Thanks for all the info! So I would ened to stay 60 days. I already was going to have to stay almost another 60 days, anyway, to get the BYOD gc for the iphone 12 I am wanting to replace with the 13.

So do you know if I would be forfeiting the byod gc for the 12 if I upgrade to the 13 before the minimum amount of time has gone by for the original byod deal? I wills till be a customer the number of days needed for the byod gc, but maybe it is forfeited when "replacing the device", ie the device is no longer with them so maybe that cancels it out?

I think for byod it said I had to stay 90 days. If so I am about 36 days away from that 90 day point right now. About tempted to do this deal and forget the gc since it was already
IDK. I'm a customer who's had XM for about 4 years now; not working with XM.

XM typically doesn't stack offers; since the BYOD GC was the first one in, you MAY lose out on the 2nd GC (for iPhone 13) if they don't consider it.

Since you are already a XM customer - get on the web chat with their CS, ask for clarification; if you do get a commitment that you can qualify for both, take a screen capture or print to file, and then go ahead. OTOH - you may get a response from CS that they don't know, or that you can't do it; at least then, you'll know what's possible.

When you log in to your account - since it was BYOD, chances are it'll show that you are eligible to replace your device; use that in the chat with CS to ask whether you are eligible for the new promo.

Another option for you to consider - XM typically keeps changing promotions around, but the iPhones usually have promos multiple times through the year. No guarantee that it'll be the same; sometimes there are upgrade offers, other times not; but I've participated multiple times in XM's offers over the last 3 years

The problem is 4 different employees, via chat, forums, and phone told me lies/misinformation on the first promotion, so no matter what they tell me I'll not believe it. And the problem with waiting and hoping for it to come up as a promotion again is that the 12 value will go down a lot by then so I'll be losing $1000-200 in what I get for selling it, thus it wouldn't be worth upgrading at that point.

In that case - guessing this promo is not meant to be, for you;

If you can't believe anyone from XM, then you can't be sure.
If you can't wait, you can't get it later.

If you do take a chance and then find out you aren't getting the GC for $300, you'll have lost out.

Perhaps, as another post mentioned - if Visible comes with a good promo, that may be the way to go.

im starting to wonder if it's worth the hassle anyway just to go from a 12 bought 3 or 4 months ago and abrely ever used to a 13. I thought it would be worth it sicne I can get almost the same amount for my 12 used as I'd be paying for the 13, but as usual with comcast it's too complicated whether or not it will work or not and visible charges too much per month as I am just doing by the gig with xfinity. And even that is more than I should spend for how little I use it.

Platinum level xfinity customer could get $100 Visa card after purchasing a new phone. The longer you stay with xfinity, the higher your level. Mine is silver level and $25 visa card if I purchase a new phone.

I did this last year and got a great deal. I had a friend refer me and we each got $100 at the time. Then I ported my number in for two lines and got $50 each. Once it ported, I bought the phones outright and got $250 each. So two iPhone 12 pros and $700 in visa gift cards. I did have to follow up a few times and chat with customer service, but they all eventually came.

If anyone needs a referral, message me. I think right now it's only $25 each. Maybe more depending on your service.

You bought the phones even before you got the $50 BYOD GC or after?

I just joined rewards program after the purchase of new phone, so I won't get the $25 visa card as a silver member?
By the way, I do not know why I was only counted as silver member, have been in comcast internet since 2008.

If you changed location, Comcast doesn't track that. You may need to contact CS and raise a ticket.

I've read the thread but couldn't figure out an answer to my situation.

I'm not a XM customer but have a friend who is and is willing to add an additional line if it helps me get this deal. Is there perhaps a sequence of steps that gets me this promotion?

I do have an unused iPhone that is compatible with XM in case one of the steps involves BYOD but I don't have a number that I'd be willing to port in.

Thanks.

Port in Google voice or number from eBay and byod.

I'm not sure about the financing option but I can't imagine that would be the case. I have taken advantage of past deals and have always paid up front in full. Never had an issue receiving the Visa gift card.
