Epson is announcing two new projectors next week at a Europe trade show. Wait a week.
Why on earth would you get a projector if not for the much bigger screen size like 100-135 inches in your AV room..... If you don't care about the size, OF COURSE go with OLED. If you have a fancy room with plenty of wall space, you can get a projector, but not this one, you'd have to spend a lot on a comparable projector either Sony or JVC (in my book) and they like 10k to 18k for 4k upscaling to 8k..... TVs are always easier to upgrade....Bigger screens and micro led are around the corner, but like everthing else with tech: "Live Today"...if you game, get an LG OLED for 1ms response times, if you watch movies, go for Sony OLED since their processors are better tuned for watching movie content...
I do NOT wannt to buy this projector but the deal is too good...was waiting for a newer version of epson 5050 but thinking if i should dive in to this....

Jesus these deals! I want a projector and was thinking about the hisense 120 l5 ust. I dont want a screen mounted to the wall and was thinking about a table top motorized screen!
Is this a good deal or should I get the hu70la and save a good amount of money? I wouldn't use it every day. Once ever other week or monthly for movie night

There's some speculation but a 2700 lumen, laser based, native 4K or pixel shifting 4K that's better than what they have now is the rumor. They may revive the reflective LCoQ tech (like JVC) that they had on the LS10500. Some rumors have the price at $4k for one of the models. A lot of this is heavy speculation though. I think the most substantial rumor is 2700 lumens and better resolution
I have the other LG HU80KA projector and they have never upgraded the webos so I can't use disney+ or most other recent apps natively. I had to buy an extra roku stick to stream. I would very much avoid LG projectors based on the support I have seen.

You got downvoted but it sure seems to be true about the support. People have complained a decent amount about this projector in the owners thread on AVS and LG said there's no planned firmware update as of yet. That was a few weeks ago. Issues are
Not hitting the spec's lens shift
Dynamic Tone Mapping not working well
24hz issues/support
Massive blue shift out of the box
Other random bugs
