Almost bought it due to the U3 rating, but this card has very slow write speeds according to a few reviews (30MB/s). At that speeds, it will take forever to fill this card, and it may not be suitable for 4K recording. Going to have to pass.

Lexar memories are the worst. They die too quickly.

There's a reason why they're usually the cheapest. And they keep changing their brand/label to hide their previous bad reviews.

I definitely came to check it out based upon the good value for the price (since this isn't much of a $$$/GB premium over 256GB devices). I'm not too worried about the write speeds since this would be for media storage in a car. Good to know that perhaps the rationale for the pricing is around reliability, so perhaps sticking to 1st-party Samsung or Sandisk devices remains a best practice for now?

Also says 10% if I use prime card. Still it is a lexar and probably slow writes.

Lexar and Crucial are owned by Micron, so the NAND is 1st pty

I'm not someone picky about the write/read speed either. The problem is too many of them fail too easily and if it dies, it's not even usable.

Lexar quality went to the toilet ever since they got bought by Longsys.

That said, if people want to take a gamble because of the great price, feel free to do so. I felt for the same tactics multiple times as well, but never again. I would much rather bite the bullet and pay more to get Sandisk, Samsung or even PNY for SD cards.
