- Audio quality is quite poor
- Audio cuts out frequently
- Mixer knob only turns down volume of one thing (I can't remember if it was game audio or voice chat, but it doesn't truly mix by turning one up and the other down)
- Surprisingly, the game audio volume is restrained to a small range. There's a max volume that is not very loud at all, and the min volume is not that quiet before it jumps to silent. It's like the potentiometer used is not very accurate and has big jump. So you go from low-ish to silent with no in-between
- It's weird, but the feature to easily switch between two devices, like the controllers, does not work between two Xbox wireless devices. So you can't switch between two Xboxes. And if you're like me and supported MS by getting the Xbox wireless receiver for PC for better connectivity, you can't switch between that and your Xbox. I really wanted the headset and controller to be able to swap between my Xbox and PC since I switch between those quite often.
If you can deal with those issues, then have at it. It was just too much disappointment for me for $100. It was a great idea with the Xbox+BT connection at the same time, and I would've kept it to use strictly for that if it didn't have the cutout issues, but stacking all the other stuff on top was too much. Maybe wait for a second iteration, or look for a 3rd party headset that can do the same with connecting through Xbox wireless and BT at the same time. You'll probably pay more, but I would bet the quality would be better

Still just a stereo headset... "Virtual" 7.1 surround. Sorry, when I said hoss initially, I meant it in a buddy kind of way, not a jerk way. My bad if it seemed like the jerk way, hard to convey over plain text, my bad.
Just so you know, I have tried all three. Sonic is definitely the bottom tier. DTS:X was next for me, but after using Dolby Atmos for an extended period of time, I just can't stand the other two. I feel like it is that much better. But it is also $15, so if you are getting the DTS free or already had it, then maybe not worth it. If you ever see Dolby on sale (like I said, have seen for around $10 multiple times), I think it is worth picking up.
Cheers!

The reason why these a going back for me is that turning on any spatial sounds (Sonic, Dolby Atmos, DTS) leaves you with choppy sound and it pretty much kills the experience. This looks to be an issue with the receiver and plenty of complaints about spatial sounds on Microsoft forums. I have other headsets that I can game in stereo, but I bought these because they were on sale and the Xbox reviews do mention the spatial sound works for them. Spatial sounds works on my much much much older Plantronics headset, but the sound is complete crap on that. Need a dedicated receiver for the spatial sounds...Bluetooth connections won't support.
Which EQ settings are you guys using for games like Call of Duty Vanguard? The out of the box sound leaves a lot to be desired IMHO.
