Mapping allows you to define how it moves to clean vs just randomly spinning and moving around in a room.
Boundary strips keep it from going certain places and can be added/removed without affecting the already defined cleaning area. Boundary strips are good to keep the vacuum out of certain areas at certain times. Like in a messy child's playroom. You may not want the vacuum going I there when your child has a bunch of small toys (lol doll pieces) on the floor, but you do want the vacuum going in there when the room is cleaned up.

We have some darker low pile carpet… and are just mainly looking for something that can be run to regularly pick up the usual white fuzz or string thread that show up regularly on darker carpet. (One of the reasons I hate our carpet)
We have an older Eufy, but it's gotten to where it's suction doesn't seem to be half as good as it used to be. I've even tried replacing all the filters and such in it too, but no luck.

$20 cheaper than last FP deal, this isn't getting much love, but based on the last post on this, seems like a very good buy.
Perhaps people are expecting even better robot vacuum deals so close to BF.

Yes will work fine. It's just vinyl flooring.
My older one was the 11s. That thing was a workhorse. I gave it to my best friend and it's still going strong at her house!
Only difference I can tell with this one is the old one had two brushes, this has one. This has the app. The old one has a remote.
Otherwise I don't notice any difference in cleaning ability or lack of getting stuck or really anything at all.
I bought my son a 15 after he admired my 11s, seems to work the exact same as my 11s and my new Verge.
In retrospect, I wouldn't have bothered with the upgrade or I would have upgraded to something that allowed me to select where to clean/not in the app.
I had a deebot without mapping which worked much better. Never had a fall and didn't get stuck as much.
