I don't think it has Dolby vision.
I own this with a Dolby Vision enabled LG OLED TV. Despite the lack of DV, it's a great player and the picture from a disc appears superior to any Dolby Vision 4K streaming content I've encountered. So with or without Dolby Vision, it's gorgeous. As an added plus, if you use it to listen to CDs or blu ray audio, the sound is excellent.
Tempting to buy for my Bedroom TV that I never watch movies on. But lack of DV has me wavering.

Why wouldn't someone just buy an Xbox One S? Looks like all the of meaningful features are present.
Was it the latest issue of Home Cinema magazine? - xbox 4k picture quality is of lesser quality playing discs than the ps5.

Can anyone suggest a 4K player with DV that is reasonably priced and works well? Thanks
DP-UB820 which is usually 350 for BF. Check the reviews as it's fantastic.

Lack of Dolby Vision isn't a deal breaker. I have two large 4K TVs, both very highly rated. One has HDR10 only and the other handles DV, HDR10+, and HLG. Most of the time my HDR10 only TV, which is higher quality, outputs much better HDR. I don't notice a huge difference watching movies in DV.

May not have DV, but it does have an HDR optimizer, which in practical application will be more than enough for most users.

The interface on the Sony is absolutely laughable (having owned one). Not that the Panasonic is incredible, but at least it's still relatively clean.
I am of the idea that the TV you have is a much more important link , by orders of magnitude,in the chain than player for picture quality

That being said I own a Panasonic UB820 as well as one the cheap refurbished LG 4K players I bought for $90...the Panasonic was not worth that extra money

As for the Sony interface..its fine especially if you dont want to invest in a Roku or Apple TV

The Panasonic , from an apps perceptive is far more bare bones

In my opinion Dolby Vision makes a bigger difference when watching an OLED

However a better quality TV is going to look better no matter which of the formats is being used

LG ubk90 supports DV and routinely goes on sale for this price or less.

Panasonic UB820 is amazing. I've been using it for last couple of years. A good price point would be $350-400 around BF. Given its a couple of years old, although still one of the best out there, maybe this BF it can be had for below $350

If you are willing to spend the money go for the Panasonic UB820 for the Dolby Vision Support.
