Seems like a great deal, thanks for posting. Is it verified to be the 5th gen? I've heard that the previous generation keyboards have a weaker magnetic connection with the 5th gen iPad.

I'm so confused by the generations of the iPad Pro. I just got the 11" Pro from Verizon, which is the latest 2021 one with 5g - yet it's called 3rd gen

I bought this and their iPad Pro on sale. Been eyeballing these things for a while. It was between this and MacBook Pro. Eventually the portability and the terrible camera on my iPhone 7 made me purchase this.

I'm not 100% up to speed on what generation each device is but I do think only certain generations work with certain genrations of ipads.

Per the apple website it looks like this should work for 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen ipads.

It will work. Your case should be light else magic keyboard case magnet cannot hold your iPad Pro.

If you're not interested and don't see the need for it, keep it moving. People shit on Apple products (including me 10 years ago as a 'loyal' Android user), but their products just work well.

Anyways, I also price matched to Bestbuy and used some spare certificates I had to bring the total price to 240 after tax, which is super slick given that used on offerup/fb marketplace are asking the same price or more. I also get to pickup today rather than wait for walmart to ship.

Of course you're right - this thing is insanely overpriced, even on sale. Yet I'll repeat the chorus from several other satisfied users in this thread: it's really that good. And there aren't a lot of alternatives which check all of the same boxes.

I have an older 12.9" iPad Pro that I've been using with a Smart Keyboard (which is Apple's cheaper - though still overpriced - "entry-level" iPad keyboard), and then a 2020 Air that I use with an 11" Magic Keyboard (the junior version of the product on sale here). The Smart Keyboard is absolute dog shit in comparison. The typing experience, trackpad, overall design, backlit keys, USB-C availability (while charging) - as a whole, it's just so much more pleasant to use than the dumb "Smart" keyboard with its mushy keys and strange fabric covering.

This, too, is my only real complaint. When you consider how slim the tablet is alone, then the combined weight of the iPad & Magic Keyboard seems like a bit of a bummer to lug around. But, again: it's that good. Changed the way I use iPads in general. And yes, hopefully iPadOS continues getting the polish that it needs.

Damn I just ordered a Pro from bestbuy yesterday along with the Logitech keyboard. Does anyone know how that compare to this? Is this better? I paid $193.50 for the Logitech.
