anyone looking to buy this drive, make sure to update the controller firmware (silicon motion 2263xt), it's the main reason there are a lot of faulty drive reviews on the page
I usually leave my case open and the M.2 sticking up at a 45 degrees for cloning (large transfers these get hot in the case if it's a hight speed unit/ the unit onsale is not a high speed unit so heating should not be a large issue).
Normal flash drive action should not be a problem. I did see one with a built in fan but it was not cheap.
