My neighbor bought a HP Laptop like this but with a slower I3 processor. He did not like the S-Mode. He asked me to get it out of S-Mode. I Tuned it up, Updated it to Windows 11. Updated the Drivers, Tweaked it again. I was very surprised. The SSD is faster. When I update my computer, it will have a SSD.. (Remember not to defrag an SSD Drive). (Trim it..)

It's not a gaming PC. But for the average home user or Student.. For the price.. It's a Very Good Deal..
I was going to buy for my son, but my local Target was Sold Out.. Good Luck..!!

I didn't scrutinize the specs, but the key specs are identical to the recent $350 Front Page Staples deal (i3-1125G4/8GB/256GB). i3-1125G4 is a quad-core CPU, so it's a great improvement over the typical i3 deals. If the screen quality and/or the built are decent, it's an absolute steal.
Have you seen a simial HP from Costco, curious how it would compare to this PC?

The one at Walmart is the 1115g4 model, so it's a downgrade compared to this one.
Barely...no one would notice any difference between the two

Solid deal

Personally though, I would rather wait for this Lenovo [walmart.com] to go back down to $399, which will likely be this November. You get a Ryzen 5500u CPU which benchmarks about 30% better than this one, and AMD Vega 7 onboard graphics.

When HP slaps the 5500u and Vega 7 in this laptop its $450 [walmart.com]

Lenovo has much better build quality too. Still, this is a good deal for what it is.
It would be nice if the Lenovo laptop comes back on sale. Lenovo build quality is definitely much better than hp

I got the Dell Inspiron Touch Laptop: Ryzen 5 3450U a few weeks back. https://slickdeals.net/f/15325912-dell-inspiron-15-6-fhd-touch-screen-laptop-amd-ryzen-5-8gb-memory-256gb-ssd-420#comments It is very flexible as it included a SATA slot and an open slot for more ram. I added a 2 TB hard drive for $55 and another 8 GB stick of ram for $30. I keep the operating system on the 256 GB SSD. This type of unit is rare and Best Buy has the unit on closeout. I can't see paying SSD prices for data storage. I'll never put my valuable data out on cloud storage. I've had 5 notifications from major companies - banks, etc. - inform me that they know my data was stolen. And I'm sure there are others that have been able to avoid admitting it. So in total I have a unit that cost about $560 total including taxes with a ton of storage and flexibility.

There are 2 cores differences between the two.

That's a major difference.
