I pulled the trigger... I'm thinking the 5300G base system will be perfect for a 9 year old kids rig that will be for school/minecraft/roblox...

Will take out the RTX 3600 and put in a Ryzen 7 2700X build that's got a 3080 in it now for 14 year old.

The 3080 will go in a new Ryzen 7 5700 build for myself!

What do you guys think? My plan sound worth it?

sometimes, but not on this PC.

the omen 30L, 25L and other high end desktops use standard ATX PSUs and motherboards, even have removable IO shields.

i have a few of these at the office. the front IO is integrated into the motherboard. the motherboard has USB ports in the back and in the front. you won't be able to replace it with off the shelf parts
