Looks like that's a different drive. SMR instead of OP's CMR drive.
Yes, that is the infamous EFAX series with SMR which WDC settled for misleading NAS users. There is an on going settlement claim for this SMR series until Nov 27, 2021.

I THINK this is a good deal based on my research from the past couple of days.

I'm looking to set up a NAS in RAID configuration to not rely on google/iCloud totally for backups.

I will buy and think later =D

These were about $100 last year this time. Good price at $79.99 - however it is about $20/TB which is high. A $15/TB is a good price which might come by for a 6TB - in the near future.

I paid Best Buy $80.99 for this drive on December 17th, 2020 (which, to be fair, works out to ~1.5 months before "now"). So not quite this time last year. Still a decent reference point I think.
