True story, for this promo I used the IMEI of an iPhone 12 that I got from visible and had already sold(!), but still had the IMEI written down somewhere, and used that to pass the compatibility check and order the SIM card. Once I got the shipping confirmation the next day, I activated my service online (select "I already rec'd my SIM card'), and ported in my expiring Tello number...all before receiving the physical SIM card, which looks like it will be delivered tomorrow.
I've done this BYOD promo several times over the years and never had a problem receiving the git card. They don't check if you are actually using the SIM or phone it was signed up with, just that you have the active line and are paying the bills. Of course, YMMV!

- Your friends will receive your referral through an email or Facebook post. They must click the link to begin the activation process.
- They'll be directed to a Refer-A-Friend landing page to activate the referral.
- They then have 30 days to order eligible Xfinity services.
- You and your friends will receive Visa Prepaid Cards in the mail after new eligible Xfinity services are installed and you remain a customer in good standing for 90 days.
Comment:So, to make this work, you would need to send your email address to someone you know with an existing Xfinity account, and have them send you a referral link through the Xfinity website.
I used the old Refer-A-Friend program by email, and generally it worked but sometimes required calling Xfinity to get them to send the bonus.
I don't have Facebook, so I can't comment on the Facebook post process.
it was unlocked by carrier
