Running the latest OEM firmware. Unfortunately, this model is not supported by Merlin, and while 90% of my stuff in the house (about 22 items) runs on 5ghz, I put the non essentials on the 2.4.
I "upgraded" to the X86U since that doesn't have the same complaints across the review boards with the 2.4 issue as well as working with the Merlin firmware.

The AX86U is a beast with Merlin, and I'm loving mine. To each their own, but I can't imagine buying a router at this price point without support for 3rd party firmware.
