It's possible on both this one and the last one. All you need is an adapter that splits the micro usb connection, one for power and another for whatever it is you want to connect. Ethernet or storage are the most useful additions.

Additional storage can be added by adding a microusb splitter and a usb memory stick. Can be formatted as internal storage on this model. Check out Troypoint.com

This is personal preference, but I think it's worth the $10 over the 2018 version that's currently on sale for $24.99.

New versions are great and all but they need to increase the storage space on these from 8GB. Their damn updates alone take up a lot of room by themselves.

It's there an app that can be run on this to use with Bluetooth mouth and keyboard and turn this into a portable Linux computer? It would be cool if possible.

No app required. You can just connect the devices. Not sure about the Linux thing, but I'm sure they're better options for that
