I would take this based on rtings ratings. The value for performance is great for gaming. Now people have complained about it being blurry for text when working out of the box. They had to calibrate it to get proper settings.

I bought this monitor in a previous sale and am overall happy with it. A couple things to note, though: BGR subpixel layout instead of RGB, has an external power brick, menu is a little unusual, has a few "gamer" features like hardware crosshairs that you can enable (???), image feels just a little bit oversharpened.

Nice. 32 personally too big for my taste. 27 is the sweet spot

I read all the rtngs post about text clarity, but the screenshots they use for demonstrations are super zoomed in. No, I'm not going to sit 3 millimeters away from my screen. Is it super bad if you're say 30 inches back?

Absolutely trash software from Gigabyte (you have to update the monitor for it to support 1440p on Xbox Series X). You have to install OSD Sidekick to be able to push a firmware update. The problem is, you have to have the monitor connected to your computer via USB and the software will not recognize it is connected. I have tried installing and uninstalling the software multiple times. I opened a support ticket with Gigabyte but based on a quick Google search, there doesn't seem to be any fix to this.

I read the same reviews you did and worried about it…I have two of these now 🤣 because I liked the first one so much. I honestly forgot that the monitor was BGR until I saw some comments yesterday…so it was unnoticeable to me.

I've just bought a Dell S2721DGF but I'm wondering if this is better or extremely similar for about $100 cheaper (I have Amex Best Buy offer).

Any advice whether I should keep the Dell or look to purchase this.

It would be used for office work and also Xbox Series X or PS5 - when I can finally get one.
I heard there was 1440p issues with the Dell and PS5?

PS5 doesn't currently support 1440p
