I bought this monitor in a previous sale and am overall happy with it. A couple things to note, though: BGR subpixel layout instead of RGB, has an external power brick, menu is a little unusual, has a few "gamer" features like hardware crosshairs that you can enable (???), image feels just a little bit oversharpened.

PS5 doesn't currently support 1440p
I heard some monitors upscale to 4k, then downscale to 1440p or something like that to trick the PS5 into thinking it's 4k output. Sorry, not sure how to explain it technically.

This or the Dell s2721 dgf for 329
I have the Dell and highly recommend it. $329 is an amazing deal. I paid $427 employee pricing last year and thought I got a respectable price on it.

I read the same reviews you did and worried about it…I have two of these now 🤣 because I liked the first one so much. I honestly forgot that the monitor was BGR until I saw some comments yesterday…so it was unnoticeable to me.
How does this run when paired with an second RGB monitor? I'm concerned about unnecessary use of computer resources to try and deal with a dual setup with one monitor bring RGB the other BGR. Didn't even know BGR was a thing until today...

I just got this monitor in from Best Buy. I may be returning it. Here's why:

I was using a 32" LG UltraGear 1440p but thought this might be better. It is so small compared to what I'm used to. This is compounded by the fact that there is a black border around the edge, touching the bezel, so it looks even smaller. You would expect the picture to go to the edge, but it does not. It's very noticeable and irritating.

The picture itself looks outstanding otherwise. It is very bright, and while only 8-bit HDR, it still comes to life. I had no issue installing OSD Sidekick and updating the monitor firmware. I have not tried the KVM feature yet (one reason I bought it) because it may be too small for my liking.

I think the LG I have is a VA panel which is why this appears to jump out in comparison. The real estate is great on that but the top corners are kinda dull. I think a curved 32" may be the way to go to keep the real estate but have a better viewing angle and less eye strain looking from corner to corner.

It's that the monitor accepts a 4K signal from the PS5 and downscales it to native 1440p, and yes this can.

May be your settings because in this Rtings review the image appears to go right up to the bezel https://youtu.be/oQqc8z8kcrg

The VA panel UltraGear you have does not have the raised bezels but it does have a border around the screen. Most curved 32" monitors in the $300 range will be VA. How are the colors and brightness comparing the UltraGear to the Gigabyte??

How does the 32" version of this Gigabyte monitor compare to the AOC CQ32G2S 32"? I'm looking to get a gaming monitor for my son who plays mostly AoE 4, Total War, etc.

The Dell S2721DGF has a 3 year warranty compare to Gigabyte's 1 year.

Also Dell has way better RMA than Gigabyte's. If you have any issue with your monitor good luck going through Gigabyte.

I heard curve monitor die out sooner. Some experienced withdead digital screen and it hard to do replacement. :-/

I recently bought a 27" and returned it for the 32". For me, the ppi on a 27" 1440p monitor is too much, text is just slightly too small and I felt it was more straining to my eyes than the 32" which has the same ppi as a 24" 1080p. The 27 looked great for gaming, very crisp, but I hated the text size and scaling is an option but it doesn't always work and makes fonts look strange. I like 32" 1440p. Lots of screen size, easy to read, can be almost like a TV for gaming or content consumption if I want to sit back at a bit of a distance. Just my opinion from the other direction.
