Spent 3 hours so far, cannot detect the NAS.
I also downloaded the SYnology Assistant, it also can't find it.
I've tried the official steps of resetting the NAS via the reset button in the back, hold it 4 sec until the beep.
In one instance it advises to connect a lan cable from PC into the NAS and re-run the scan. This still failed.
But doesn't the NAS lose an IP address since you've unplugged the lan cable so as to plug it into your PC?
Anyway, I noticed in my Router (asus) interface, it sees the NAS, has an IP.. I can PING the IP.
I decided to slap the IP onto my webbrowser and presto, it finds the darn NAS.....
I can proceed with running a setup, haven't done it yet.
Is something not resolving whereby I have to resort to using the IP address?
