Work in a factory, hearing protection not required, but I figure better safe than sorry. Plus I can listen to music now (gonna put a piece of black electrical tape over the blue light).

They sell for $57 at Lowes, $60 at Home Depot and $70 at Ace Hardware. They're not always $39 at Amazon, either... see 3Camel.

These suck, bought a pair a few months ago and returned them. Sure they block out some sound but the volume doesn't go very high. Plus the sound quality was crap… which was kind of to be expected for the price. I bought the higher end of the 3M work headphones too and same thing. Didn't like them at all. I would recommend steering clear of this line.

I have a pair, I give them 4.5 stars. Volume can't be turned up super loud, but that's the point of hearing protection. Decent job of blocking out other noise even though mine don't have noise cancellation. They work well as regular hearing protection compared to my other ear muffs/ear pro. If volume went a little higher, I'd give them 5 stars.

I know there are only a few reviews but these look exactly like my 2017 pair which work great still. These have Bluetooth 5 upgrade and more soundproofing than before. Range on my BT 4 pair is 50 ft plus. Just could'nt order WorkTunes with so many bad bluetooth reviews.
Keep in mind these are hearing protectors first, Bose quality sound last...
If these 3M ones don't pan out(can comfortably wear for a few hours straight, listen to music/podcasts & protect hearing) i'll try the ones you posted at $25 a pair. The 3M are ship & sold via Amazon so I also got 50% off using amex 1 point, so $18.44 out the door isn't 2 bad. Hope they are decent sound with good ear/hearing protection for being on the riding mower/weedeating for 3+ hours.

I have both the wired and BT versions.

The wired version I have tends to drain the batteries even though I never use it - it's pretty strange, when using aux in you don't "turn on" the unit - you only "turn on" the unit if you want AM/FM - so I'm not sure how the batteries drain, but they do.

The BT unit you obviously "turn on" to engage BT and listen.

I've never made calls with the BT version, didn't even know it had a mic. Audio quality fine for my application (lawn work, mowing, leaf blowing, etc). Battery life seems fine too.

I also have a pair of Bose isolation headphones for travel, wouldn't consider using them for yard work - but the worktunes aren't really intended as isolation headphones anyway.

They protect your ears from loud outside noise like a lawnmower, blower, chainsaw etc....supposedly way more so than just regular passive or active noise canceling headphones. They are rated to block out the noise, protect your ears/hearing and allow you to listen to music etc at the same time. If u do hours & hours of work around loud machines this is definitely the way to go to protect your hearing over time imo. I've used anc headphones, buds etc and expect these to be 5x or more (just an estimate) protective for your hearing. Plus it looks like these can also be used for the gun range etc so that's nice.
