Not a sale but the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W is in stock on Chicago Electronic Distributors (one of Raspberry Pi approved resellers). Shipping isn't free but it beats buying a whole kit to get the board! Happy tinkering!
Real cost of shipping is less than $1. Have you actually shipped anything since 1999 ? Please support your ignorant allegation with a shipping method. Do you suppose they will put it in a #10 envelope and put a stamp on it (in violation of USPS rules) ?
I am sure he has no clue what this thing is and why it is necessary NOT to ship it in a #10 envelope and any paper envelope for that matter.
I had an idiot seller on eBay who mailed a mSATA hard drive in a paper envelope. Probably dagadu's brother.
I was at Microcenter picking something else up a few weeks ago, and on a whim asked if they any of these. Had no problem getting one for $15 (limit one at that price), but maybe I just got lucky. Haven't set it up yet, I have a few Pi Ws running various home automation stuff -- I've found you can never have too many rPIs!
UPDATE:
Since I needed to go to Microcenter to pickup my free SSD Drive[microcenter.com], I decided to see if I could grab an extra Pi W 2 (in part so I could go to the faster Online Order desk rather than wait in the usually long general line). I was able to reserve one online for $14.99, they had 25+ available at my store (Michigan)
If you're looking for something similarly priced that can run Linux like the Pi Zero W 2, there's not much out there at the moment, the Pi Zero W 1 is still a good value if you can find it at MSRP ($10). If you're just looking for an IoT microcontroller, the ESP32 is the best value in my opinion, about $6-7/board if you buy like 3 on Amazon
Already have the basics - keyboard, mouse, monitor, microSD card - to use with it. Any recommendations for what else I should consider ordering from the store since I will be paying for shipping anyway?
The HDMI connector on the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W is smaller than a normal HDMI connector. So you'll likely need a mini-HDMI to HDMI adapter.
Unless your mouse and/or keyboard are Bluetooth, you'll likely need a USB hub to connect both up to the board at the same time. And since the USB port on the Pi is a micro USB instead of USB C or USB A, you'll likely need a particular OTG cable or adapter to get anything USB connected to the Pi.
Lastly, consider getting a good power supply. You could try using whatever micro USB phone charger you already have laying around, but a lot of times those really don't provide enough power to run the Pi completely stable. If you run your Pi with a weak power supply, there is a chance of corrupting you microSD card and maybe even bricking the microSD when that happens.

But 27 people will get lucky I guess.
I bought from Adafruit in the past and $5.92 is comparable or probably less than what Adafruit charges.

They have been, but only in store

They offered some kind of US Postal mail shipping service if it weighed less than a pound, and I bought 2 of the last 3 they had in stock a week ago.
