Ive had a dell 2 in 1 for about 5 years now. My biggest regret was battery life. It now doesn't last more than 30 min. Wonder how long this laptop will last in the long run.

decent review: https://www.cnet.com/tech/computi...p-returns/ [cnet.com]

This vid review recommends getting into the bios to up the performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YuJso34l30

But i think we agree that the specs and performance for the price aren't the problem....

On the fence vs. Target new HP for $276 (HP 14" Laptop with Windows Home in S mode - Intel Core i3 11th Gen Processor - 4GB RAM Memory - 128GB SSD Storage - Silver (14-dq2031tg)).

I can't decide...this for $338 or the Target deal for $276 ($62 diff). Bought and can return to Walmart after running through its paces i guess.
What does Target have for $276? OOS now so no matter.

Batteries are wear items, they will all run down over time.

Cons:
Proprietary charger no USB C charging.
SATA-3 M.2 NVME will not work.
I highly suggest you not try to upgrade the internal SATA and nothing else there to upgrade.
Pros
Second M.2 SATA-3 slot just two screws to access.
I5
16GB DDR.

This is a whole lot for not much cost. The SATA-3 will mean it boots slower and loads apps slower. It will sort of defeat some of the benefits of the I5 though graphics are better with it. These have small motherboards so build quality not all that great.

I think the models with the 11th gen processors (this one) are supposed to be able to charge over USB C up to 45 watts. Can't test this, but there were some comments about it on $399 deal

I have one as well. But easy enough to swap out batteries. Ordered a replacement battery for it a year back, for ~$40.

I bought one of these for $379. Solid deal at this price. The screen is quite good and performance is excellent. The main drawbacks for me - coming from a Pixelbook Go and MacBook Air M1 - are 1) the trackpad is pretty bad, it has an off-putting texture and isn't super precise, 2) the speakers are terrible, and 3) the fingerprint scanner only works maybe 25% of the time (it doesn't fail to register like a cell phone, it just straight up doesn't do anything).

Also, my unit did NOT charge over USB C though some reviews say their units do.

It's a solid laptop for a student or someone intending to use a mouse and headphones at a desk. For the price, the performance and screen are quite impressive.
