Would this be good for a TRX in a basement? It's either this or drilling into a low beam that makes using the safety strap part useless because of how low the floor beams are

Can anyone comment on buying additional attachments on this?
Do the other popular brands attachments fit on this rack ?

Also beat me to it! It's been sitting in my cart at $230. Snagged it now at $200.

I am concerned about the quality and the shipping issues I've been reading out, but we'll see what happens. Walmart is pretty good about returns if it arrives completely destroyed.
It was beat up when I got it. However it was mostly the packaging. Just a few tips tho. Hand tighten and stop sooner than later. I kept going thinking I was going to get at a stopping point with my hand ratchet. I wasnt paying attention and the metal was bending.

Great price! Perfect for my garage gym...only thing is do you guys have any suggestions to level the garage floor...my garage had a small decline so I cant put any equipment against the wall or else everything is off balance. I have been putting my gym bench so that when im lifting its at a incline.....its not a big deal but maybe you guys have tips ....thanks in advance

I got the Hulkfit to hang rings and a TRX because that tower is one of the few that would fit with the 82" clearance in the basement. Seems solid enough for suspension work but lateral forces would require anchoring the tower.

It seems this rack is 2.5 X 2.5 deminsions. Just so you are aware for attachments. But the price is lower than what it has been recently been.

Looks like attachments for Powertec and Valor fitness fit this rack.

Anyone else want to elaborate on this please do and correct me if I'm wrong.

You are spot on, and I use both Powertec and Valor fitness attachments. Hulkfit also work, which I believe is the same rack as this. Lots more attachments these days as compared to what used to be available.

The only thing I wish were different is the 4" hole spacing. I get around it by using j-hooks that hang at different heights, see why I have Powertec and Valor fitness attachments.

Just place the rack facing down the incline and forget about it.

You could build a platform, but that's a lot of time and money. I've been lifting in my garage for over a decade, and never had an issue/injury from lifting with the racks facing the incline.

Could you tell me about the 4 inch spacing ?
I am interested in getting a squat rack and used to lift quite a bit in the days. But I was never big on the machines, but just free weights. I only used squat racks for squatting and pull-ups.
It seems people are very opinionated about how they are set up and I wonder if I would even care about it. Or if I'll will regret it after getting it.

I might be interested in the lat pull attachment if I can use it for triceps.
How is the attachment that you can buy separately or can you buy a different brand for this rack ?

This or Hulkfit on Amazon with Safety Straps? I originally ordered this, cancelled and ordered on Amazon as it comes with safety straps. Now this price is tempting.
This is the same as Hulkfit, they're just branded differently (like the FitnessReality and whatever Walmart calls their version of that cage).

I had this cage for the first half of 2020 and loved it, but ultimately swapped it for a 2x2 Fitness Reality cage just because I get a better range of accessories with the more standard upright & hole sizing. This one has weird spacing and a I want to say a strange size hole for the accessories/safeties/hooks so you're a bit limited and can't get things like roller j-cups. Titan makes a range of 2x2 accessories with a 1" post that work perfectly with the Fitness Reality cage.

THAT SAID I almost want to switch back (if it wasn't such a screaming pain the in a$$ to build these) because there's a plate-loaded cable crossover [amazon.com]for this/the Hulkfit version that gets you two cable towers that attach to the sides of the cage itself. I haven't seen that with any other manufacturer - my choice if I want that machine at this point is a functional trainer and those start at $1200 - and the Hulkfit version goes on sale for around $380.

Wonder if this will last out on the deck with a roof.
