It will keep you safe, and help you get stronger (that's all you really need).
The only tangible downside is the hole spacing of 4 inches, which is terrible. But that's why this rack is so inexpensive. Personally I would pass on anything with greater than 3 inch spacing. As another member mentioned, this can be worked around with j-hooks of a different height (if you're committed to getting this rack).
Usually though with gym equipment that you plan on using for a long time ... buy nice or buy twice. Buy once cry once.

Do the other popular brands attachments fit on this rack ?
I am concerned about the quality and the shipping issues I've been reading out, but we'll see what happens. Walmart is pretty good about returns if it arrives completely destroyed.

The only thing I wish were different is the 4" hole spacing. I get around it by using j-hooks that hang at different heights, see why I have Powertec and Valor fitness attachments.
You could build a platform, but that's a lot of time and money. I've been lifting in my garage for over a decade, and never had an issue/injury from lifting with the racks facing the incline.

I am interested in getting a squat rack and used to lift quite a bit in the days. But I was never big on the machines, but just free weights. I only used squat racks for squatting and pull-ups.
It seems people are very opinionated about how they are set up and I wonder if I would even care about it. Or if I'll will regret it after getting it.
I might be interested in the lat pull attachment if I can use it for triceps.
How is the attachment that you can buy separately or can you buy a different brand for this rack ?
I had this cage for the first half of 2020 and loved it, but ultimately swapped it for a 2x2 Fitness Reality cage just because I get a better range of accessories with the more standard upright & hole sizing. This one has weird spacing and a I want to say a strange size hole for the accessories/safeties/hooks so you're a bit limited and can't get things like roller j-cups. Titan makes a range of 2x2 accessories with a 1" post that work perfectly with the Fitness Reality cage.
THAT SAID I almost want to switch back (if it wasn't such a screaming pain the in a$$ to build these) because there's a plate-loaded cable crossover [amazon.com]for this/the Hulkfit version that gets you two cable towers that attach to the sides of the cage itself. I haven't seen that with any other manufacturer - my choice if I want that machine at this point is a functional trainer and those start at $1200 - and the Hulkfit version goes on sale for around $380.
