It was pretty easy to call you a troll. You continue to ignore all other points about this laptop and only fixate on the graphics card (which i addressed with my performance experience on this). You failed to bring any real life experience comments about this laptop.

As far as CPU goes...yes, it is a great processor. I'd say being able to hold its own against the M1 chips from Apple is a decent start. But again, please feel free to share your own wisdom other than just ignorant blanket statements:

https://www.pcworld.com/article/3...pared.html

And yes, this deal that makes popular or front page continuously must mean it has no value or not considered a deal. Since you fail at reading comprehension, I will say that the last statement is full of sarcasm.
Maybe at full price. But on sale this is a great machine. Lightweight, convertible design, tall aspect ratio w/ touch screen (at 120hz) that is higher than 1080p (most gaming laptops don't have touch). The funny thing is if people hammer it for the gaming chops and a "weak" 3050ti. But this is geared towards those who do not PRIMARILY game. For that, go ahead and buy the gaudy and heavier devices if you care about that power so much.

This is sleek, looks like it can fit in an office and is an excellent media and productivity device. The CPU is wicked fast, and when I do want to play games on this I have a great time. Forza 5 horizon I can get 90 fps with decent settings that still look gorgeous on this display. On modern warfare I can get 100-115 fps with medium/high.

For those interested, don't let the trolls deter you. If you want a "do it all" type of device, this is it. I've owned Razer Blades, Macbook Pros, etc. This has been my favorite laptop so far of all time. Basically, if you're a gamer sweat only, don't get this. If you're a casual gamer or even more than that, and want an ultraportable that really does check a lot of boxes, this is it. For this price you can do far worse.
This is under 3lbs... show me a laptop this size/weight with the same specs?

CES in a few days , so if anyone wants to wait and see what's coming this year.

Man.. I just passed the return date for an Alienware I bought. This would have been perfect for my needs. I love how light this is with these specs. Damnit!

This laptop is pretty amazing for a thin and light, most laptops in this formfactor can't fit a DGPU and even thought it's not the greatest DGPU, it alleviates the processor from splitting the wattage with an integrated GPU.

CES is taking place today and there's already manufacturers that are announcing their newest laptops that come with the new AMD processors, they do have a better iGPU but still won't come close to this DGPU. They might bring other goodies of which I'm not sure how much they tip the balance.

The successor to this laptop was just announced and it's actually a tablet with an intel processor with iGPU and can be configured with 3050 TI, so I bet the base model will replace this pricepoint and then the DGPU version will cost a bit more.

Really wish this thing was 16:9 instead of 16:10. I can't stand the black bars when I am watching movies/TV.

What about this versus the Amazon Helios 300 for $1250 ?

This is actually one thing I really enjoy about this display: it leans more towards glossy vs matte. Maybe not full glossy but definitely puncher in contrast and pop in colors. Most gaming laptops seem to be matte these days, a trend I personally do not care for.

At that size and power I think it is difficult to compare the two. Over 5 lbs vs under 3 so you're almost double the weight. Subjectivity the design looks kind of...meh. the Asus is much sleeker but you can be the judge on that front.
The one you mention is definitely suited for more gamer attributes. That said you're not getting 1TB ssd with the Acer, which imo is a big miss on any gamer laptop these days given file sizes and the OS itself.

Also at 1080p on a larger 15.6 display you'll lose sharpness and pixels per inch. The Asus has a smaller display AND higher resolution so you get sharpness at an increased level in both ways. Personally that is worth the tradeoff for 144hz vs 120hz. Not sure if the Acer has touch but I doubt it. With the Asus you get touch and convertible design. Overall at the same price the Asus is the winner imo UNLESS you care strictly about gaming only, then the 3060 is more preferable. But again I think the display is going to be better on the Asus and ultimately that's the thing you'll be staring at the most. Imo if you're looking at this larger class of laptops you should consider the Asus Rog 14 inch, which can be found with deals pretty often lately at this price point or even lower.

Thank you very much. I'll checkout the model you mentioned and do some comparing. I was looking at this more for a stationary type "desktop" but be able to pick it up and move it around if necessary. Thanks!!

don't know why you're getting downvoted - I had the same experience/question. lack of fully rotated pictures make it very unclear and the hinge looks like it's fixed in some of the pics.

13.5in to fit both a 5900HS 8C/16T + 3050Ti sounds like it's going to be toasty & short battery life with only a 60Wh battery, but that 5-6 hr battery life quoted by deadlift sounds really impressive.

Got this laptop last time the deal came up, love it. I'm a light gamer so it works perfect and it handles anything I throw at it, I love the small footprint. The egpu would be nice but at $1,500 it's a little pricey at the moment.

Do you also do video editing and/or trading? If yes, how does it perform for those functions?

Because lazy?? Takes two seconds to Google or YouTube and find that it's a 360 degree hinge.

I didn't know i got downvoted. Oh no, my existence is completely useless. I'll go off myself. lol I want something like this in 14" but not this brand. Bad experience in the past with ANUS. Want to try lenovo but not sure if similar exists in 14" and this price range.

What about Acer? The Acer 300 Helios is comparable. Better GPU too.
