The recommendation for us old fogies is to get a "double drop" longboard. Longboard because it's more stable and great for cruising (and we're never going to do any tricks). Double-drop because it's closer to the ground and easier on our knees.

My kids and I are learning skateboarding together and it's been great so far. I do suggest plenty of safety gear, including padded shorts! Hip and tail injuries at our age are not pleasant.

If removing the wheels can't make it into a water wakeboard or a snowboard, then I will pass. Or else the wheels are too expensive.
My suggestion is to make it 2 in 1. better ban for the bucks.

Yes, but it was very simplistic and uninformed without showing any comprehension of how the world works. On top of that it is a bamboo board and not a wood board. Imagine trying to deal crap and not only not knowing about the deal but about something as simple as wood.

also just got the board and the deck is sick but like others have mentioned I think it doesn't glide as far probably because of the bearings. I've never changed bearings or parts so be interested in upgrading these without spending much more.

I have a slightly warped deck on my board. In other words only 3 wheels ever touch the ground when I'm not riding it. Is this a safety concern? Or should I just return it and get a new one?
